"Beautiful, very peaceful and well equipped property. Kayaking on the lake was fantastic, as was spending time BBQ’ing and relaxing on the deck. The only negative was that, while the master bed was great, the bed on the second bedroom was not. But, as a property at which to disconnect and decompress, it was fantastic. "

"Nice log cottage sitting on Diana Mountain with a nice view of Bras d’Or Lake. The night skys are fantastic. The cottage is secluded. It is about a 35 minute drive to the nearest store of any kind so if you want to get away from everything it is perfect. Stock up before you go. The cottage has high speed internet and good cell phone reception to keep you in touch with the outside world. If you are planning on taking in a lot of the sights of Cape Breton Island then plan on a lot of driving."

"Great little unit that was spacious and easy to find. Close to Baddeck with easy access to the rest of the island. Little playground for the kids was a nice touch, especially when the parents were trying to pack up. We did notice that the fridge didn't seem to be cleaned from the last guest. "My stay was perfect. Having spent my summers on the Bras d’Or lake as a child I knew what I was getting with regards to lake (it is clear, warmer than the ocean, salt water —perfect to me!), but this was my first stay at Lakeside Luxury. I booked the cottage which was a great option for privacy, the screened porch was perfect for the mornings and evenings to get away from bugs. The bed was very comfortable and so was the sofa and there were some really great finishes in the cottage to give it...

"We truly enjoyed our stay! It was a cute set up with all amenities. The beach is close by, unfortunately the jellyfish were a bit too plentiful. The owner came each morning to bring water, ice and a treat for everyone. It’s very secluded and my kids were able to be wild and loud. The dogs enjoyed exploring the area as well. If you are wanting to camp without the stress of setting up a tent, this is the place for you!"
