  • Cheerful decor, spacious rooms, and thoughtful touches in this renovated home in the historic Bates-Hendricks neighborhood make it perfectly suited for your trip to Indianapolis! Make yourself at home in this 2 story, spacious home, complete with a full kitchen, wi-fi, and laundry room. It's a 5 minute drive to Bankers Life, Lucas Oil Stadium, the Indianapolis Convention Center and all the downtown amenities. Also, a short walk to Fountain Square area for fantastic restaurants and night life.

    The space
    This home was originally built in 1920 and still retains much of it's vintage charm! The location makes it a breeze to get downtown or to one of the other cultural districts for nightlife and activities. This space and location is ideal for families or groups of friends who are coming into town to explore the city or go to an event. The home accommodates 6 comfortably. There are enough beds and air mattresses to sleep 9 at the maximum, for groups looking for an economic choice, but please note that there is only one full bathroom (and one half bathroom) and the living areas are setup for smaller groups.

    Guests are able to access the main floor, which consists of a living room, dining room, kitchen, main floor bathroom/laundry room, as well as the upstairs which consists of 3 bedrooms and 1 full bathroom. The basement is off-limits for guests.

This property was conveniently located 1.5 miles away from the convention center my daughter’s volleyball team was playing at for a tournament so the drive to and from was quick and easy. The house was also right across the street from a convenience store and a gyro & Indian food truck which helped when we arrived in the evening to grab something to eat. Clinton, the host was very responsive and answered my questions quickly.

The host was very welcoming and accommodating and when we had a problem with our first location he put us in another place same day no problem. I appreciate his flexibility and his ability to adapt for us.

affordable no frills good location

My friend and I met here with our two teens as it’s half way between where we live. House is within walking distance of cute restaurants (daiquiri factory, coffee shop and burger place). Very close to downtown - dog friendly neighborhood (coffee shop gave him treats). House is spacious and comfy but it’s very basic so if you need fancy wouldn’t recommend. It was budget friendly and fun area so perfect for what we were looking for. Owner also very responsive.

Good for game

Stayed for a Colts game. Walking distance to the stadium. Good communication with the owner. Getting the front door to lock and unlock was a challenge for us, but everything else was fine.

Pros: *Beds were comfortable *House was clean *Very responsive Cons: *Locked out upon arrival had to get alternate code after trying both doors. *Huge step up/down on last step on the back Stairs *Stained/bleach spotted washcloths and Towels *No hot water for a 3 night stay *Moldy shower curtain *Very loud in the room by the street at night Bring a Sound machine! *No towel in drying ring of bathrooms… Could have been elsewhere, but why not Ready for guests? Having No hot water in Indianapolis in November is a BIG deal. Freezing shower is not what we expected! He did offer to move us to another rental but not the same amount of bedrooms and farther away than we wanted to be since using Uber. Offered us to go shower there as well but it was just not convenient to our schedule. We were very patient with owner and kind about issues. He even let us flip the breaker in the basement ourselves when we were trying to get enough hot water to shower. Asked for refund of $35 each for 4 people (which was less than one nights stay) and was denied since he offered stay elsewhere. Would have cost him more than one night rental to have both properties cleaned, than we were asking to be refunded. Messaged me to let me know hot water heater was being replaced after we ended our stay.

Great weekend stay!

We were in town for a 3 day competition at Lucas Oil and the location was convenient with very inexpensive Uber/Lyft options. It was walkable, but the weather was hot and we chose not to. The beds were comfortable and the temperature was easy to adjust. The space was nice to hang out in!

House is old, but in decent shape despite it and the unit was clean. Amenities stated were provided and beds were quite comfortable. The owner/manager was very nice and responsive. The property is part of a side by side, so there are neighbors and the road/traffic noise was awful especially for sleeping in the king bedroom which faces the street. If you are used to noise, probably not an issue, and ear plugs would help. Property was a 5-10 minute uber ride to the Indiana Convention Center, and the coffee shop down the street from the house was great!

Good location in Bates-Hendricks area

This would be a great place for 4-6 college buddies to stay for a game. A lot of space. Short walk to Fountain Square, a bit longer to downtown Indy but still walkable. The unit is a bit rough around the edges, but we enjoyed our stay regardless. Small things could use a little TLC to easily make this place a 5-start property

Spacious duplex with character

We enjoyed staying in this neighborhood within walking distance of downtown and Garfield park. The house shows it's age and has a few quirks but it didn't impact our stay in any major way.

Perfect location for downtown stay

Close to town, nice house (oldie but a goodie). Across the street from a convenience store . One note - not a complaint - you are close to a highway and bedrooms are upstairs, so bring a sound machine or ear plugs and a sleep mask.

Great location and space for what we needed

We we went to Monster Energy Supercross at Lucas Oil Stadium. The distance is walkable, we walked one leg and took a Lyft the other. House was spacious enough so my teen could have time to himself in one of the bedrooms. My kids first time in a VRBO.

Convenient to Indiana Convention Center

Clinton was good to work with. He responded to texts quickly if we had a question. We came into town for the MEQ volleyball tournament. Parking at the house was easy as was getting to the convention center which was about 1.5 miles away. The house was older but quaint and aside from having only one shower, our stay was just fine.
