"Great room but small"

"Loved this hotel and staff and restaurant. Loved the free ev charging. The rooms, particularly the carpets could be replaced but all was clean and great experience. "

"When we arrived at 10 pm, there was nobody at the fronk desk. A sign said someone would be there in 5 minutes, which ended up being 10. By that time, there were 3 other people waiting. One lady was beyond upset at a party that was going on, on her floor and had wakened her 2 children twice. I was sent a message online to pre-register which I did, only to be asked to do it all over again at the registration desk. The website indicated that there is a bar and I inquired, only to find out it wasn't open yet. It has a grand opening in a few weeks. The room was great, big, warm, comfy bed, no noise. It had a fridge, microwave and a couch, all things I thinkv very hotel room should have. There was a Kerig machine and coffee pods, but only 1 very small milk pod percperson - not enough. The coffee was almost black. Breakfast was decent - cereals, eggs, ham, yogurt, OJ, toast, muffins, home fries, and coffee. I would stay again, hopefully with a person at thecfront desk and the restaurant-bar, open. "

"William was a great host. Welcomed us when we arrived personally and gave us a tour of the cottage and property as well as a bit of history on the area. He even had a small welcome gift from a local shop for us which was very nice.The cottage is older but well equiped for your stay. Perfect if you are lookinh for the laid back, low key kind of get away and not something bougie. Plenty of beds and bedrooms as well as living space in the cottage and outside. There were lots of birds on the water out in front of the cottage every day including geese, ducks, herons and hawks. Also beautiful sunsets every evening.We didnt go down to the visitor center at the wildlife santuary until sunday afternoon but i wish we had of sooner because we didnt realize they do canoe tours through the marshes. I recommend looking into this ahead of your stay or going by early in your trip.I also recommend making the trip to Barabas brewery which is about a 20 minute drive from the cottage. Its a nice brewery with a super well set up outdoor space including a food truck style kitchen, extensive seating area, games area and even a station with water bowls for your dog. Try the raspberry sour beer.All in all we enjoyed our stay and for the price you can not go wrong here "
