Excellent bass, pike and dory fishing. One of the best bird watching areas in Eastern Canada with a colony of sandhill cranes. Possibility to use boat launch. Have your breakfast on the front deck before heading out for the day by boat, canoe or kayak on the St. Lawrence. See Osprey, eagles, herons, egrets and if you are lucky, you may sight a family of otters.
The cottage is located in a privately owned property of 70 acres that is surrounded by the wildlife Reserve. We do our best to protect the environmental heritage of the property by conserving our trees and avoiding overdevelopment. The 20 acre field on the property is organically farmed - usually seeded with buckwheat. The natural beauty of the surrounding environment as well as its peace and quiet are assets that render it somewhat unique. There are approximately 10 km of nature trails on the Wildlife Reserve which are well maintained and very beautiful. The starting point of one of the trails is less than 1 km from the cottage while those of the other 2 trails are 2 and 4 km away. There is a level 2 charger for electric vehicles on the property and arrangements can be made to access this utility on request. A boat dock is available, should it be required. Deck furniture is supplied as is a gas BBQ.
