Okay. It is a kind of funky, lost in time. But the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and it was quiet. Kind of crazy. The room "design" and a refrigerator as loud as a Harley, notwithstanding, the place was fine. We parked our car about eight feet from our room door. The all-important ice machine was perhaps four doors down the hallway. The room made no sense. The c-r-a-z-y not close to working bathroom 1970s TV was laugh-worthy as was the hair dryer that fell apart in our hands. But the hotel was conveniently located, low-priced and worked for us. Management was polite and responsive. No breakfast buffet (COVID still?); pool closed, COVID?? Those amenities would be nice. But Rodway served our needs: A good night's rest at a clean, reasonably comfortable place for a low-low price. We weren't vacationing here, just sleeping. Down the road a global-brand hotel wanted another $200 a night and (we's stayed there before) offered no breakfast and featured a noisy crowd at 1 a.m. outside the hotel bar/restaurant below. A major hike from the parking lot to our room, too. It's your call, but in our opinion, some of the rancid reviews of this hotel are from snobs whose expectations were not of this world.
