Very unsuspectingly nice! Room was brand new. Very simple but well appointed. Great option for a quick overnight after a PSU game without breaking the bank in State College. Be sure to check your email for the self-serve check-in!

What a hidden gem! The rooms have been completely renovated in a modern rustic look, very comfortable and feel safe. I stayed here due to its location for fishing the Little Juniata watershed, and it was a perfect location. Parking worked well for loading/unloading my gear - not easy to do in some of the chain hotels. The kitchenette really made you feel at home, with everything you need for a short stay and the bed was so comfortable and clean. The bathroom seemed like a spa. I highly recommend staying here.

The room was comfortable and clean. We had dishes etc if we needed to heat up anything and staff did leave breakfast bars and instant oatmeal. The thing I was uncomfortable with was being in a room by ourselves.

This property, Raystown Country Lodge, is a real gem! The rooms have been redone and are sparkling clean. and very well done. The staff, the owner is normally around and on sight and has done an excellent job of bringing back this hotel. There is a full bar & grill on sight which makes staying very convenient. Having dinner and/or drinks and walking to your room. The check-in is contact free, you are given a code and check in with it all on line. About 2 miles to historic downtown and shops and stores. Right next door to an antique auto museum. Great for car people. Right at the top of Raystown Lake and the drive through the mountains and area is beautiful. thinking of going back in the fall as II assume it would be great. Check this place out on your tours through the area.

This lodge is a hidden gem! The interior is a beautiful surprise with original wood furniture, fresh decor and comfortable beds. They provide all linens, cozy towels, soft sheets and comforters. Dishes, a convection over, refrigerator, private rooms with queen sized beds. Digital door locks do no keys/cards to deal with. The lodge is being renovated, but no noise was noted. The train is across the street so do have earplugs if you are a light sleeper. In Raystown/Huntingdon the train can be heard everywhere I mention it as people from out of town may be caught off guard. The owners and personnel are so helpful and friendly. They have a restaurant and bar with amazing food and drinks. They create delicious, fresh meals for all to enjoy. It’s a small newly renovated family owned spot that I wanted to gate keep, but am instead excited to share with others looking to support a local family business, to stay in a fresh place with a nostalgic home like feel.
