Located on the San Jacinto River, the Red Ear River Boat and RV Park is your laid-back home away from home. Only 20 minutes from downtown Houston, this is the perfect place to spend a relaxing time in a lakefront community. This listing is for our Sky Cottage, the gem of our RV community! It includes full access and use of the gazebo, WiFi, fishing pier, boat launch, and picnic area. Perfect for a weekend getaway, hosting family, or just getting away from city life to relax.
The space
Our Sky Cottage provides a stay like no other! The interior will make you feel like you are in a luxury downtown condo, while the exterior of the home is surrounded by nature, and offers the most beautiful views of the lake and river. Lounge on the elevated patio while catching views of the passing boats, or just kick back and watch a movie over a game of skee ball with your friends and family. With our ultra-fast wifi, this home can make the perfect office retreat, or just a little staycation. Your possibilities are nearly endless when staying in a home like this!

This place was perfect! We loved that it was right by the water and really peaceful. The house was so nice and the beds were comfortable . It’s a perfect place to get up early, sit on the porch, drink some coffee and enjoy sweet view of the river.

Our trip to the Riverhouse

The house was clean and neat.It had rained before we got there and during our stay.It was very wet and muddy.We still enjoyed the view and our stay there.

Great private getaway

We visited the Houston area for baseball tournament and wanted to be anywhere but a hotel, this lake house was perfect and allowed us a great escape and a relaxing time when off the ball fields! We would definitely return if we come back down to the area again!

My husband stay here while working in the area, he loved this place!! My husband made several comments to me that it is really quiet, and was nice to relax after work! The property is very clean, and well taken care of! Will definitely be booking again next month.

Nicest rental ever!

My first impression of the place was that it was absolutely spotless and smelled incredible. It was spacious, with comfortable furniture and a whole bunch of natural light. My wife and I both agreed that it was the best rental we've stayed at during our trip through the states. Worth every penny, would highly recommend.

Fun Little Home on the Water

My family and I stayed here for over a month while we were in the process of relocating to the area. We loved the views and the overall functionality of the home. The owners were amazing to work with and had fantastic communication. The home was surface cleaned, but could use a deep dusting. We appreciated the full size pack of tp left along with dish soap and paper towels. There were plenty of cooking items and even a pantry. Our only complaint would be that some people showed up and got into the garage without us being notified. We weren't sure what was going on. Then they left the damaged garage door open. We requested maintenance to come and they did right away to try and close the door. That being said the garage door does need to be replaced. We stayed right after Hurricane Beryl; the dock seen in the pictures has been partially washed away and will need to be replaced as well. Overall, we appreciated the great communication and flexibility the owners gave us. My family enjoyed fishing in the evenings and caught lots of small fish from the bank. We had no issues with any of the neighbors and felt safe while staying there.

Beautiful!

Beautiful home and the location is perfect. Deck view is so relaxing and the peer and water is lovely. The property owners are always helpful and will answer any concerns in a very timely manner. Will be staying again!
