Lake house with million dollar view & hot tub

Amazing views of Harris Brake Lake where fishing & kayaking are spectacular. Ideal place for families with kids. A 55-foot long zip line spans two trees that my kids love. Hammocks, deck chairs and pleasant patio are made for relaxing in sunset vistas. 8 kayaks & fishing poles for use in backyard, dock & boathouse. The 3 bedrooms, sleeps up to 9 in 2 queens, 1 full & 3 twin beds, & 2 baths. Close to Petit Jean State Park and 40 minutes to west Little Rock.
Other things to note
Kids: We make a strong effort to make this a place kids love. The zipline, spanning two oak trees with a view of the lake, is a favorite; my kids will often spend an hour straight on the zipline. There are 25 or so board games and puzzles and Disney+. There are fishing poles and a hammock. But what most kids enjoy most is swimming and kayaking. There are 5 adult kayaks and three kids kayaks. We also provide about a dozen life jackets in child, youth, adult and extra large sizes.

General area: Situated in the heart of the Ouachita National Forest, the lake house is close to several amazing state parks. Mount Petit Jean State Park, about 20 minutes away, is a favorite. It has water falls, gorgeous mountain top views, miles of trails, the Rock House Cave, pioneer cabin, and good grub at the restaurant at Mather Lodge.

For those more adventurous, check out Flatside Pinnacle and Forked Mountain, a beautiful, pristine area. For as far as you can see from the mountain tops, no human built structures have ever been erected. The 0.2 mile hike to the Flatside Pinnacle mountain top from the parking spot is easy. And the view is priceless.

Astronomy: come look at the Milky Way over the dark sky. Telescope and binoculars provided. Or, just sit on the deck and count the shooting stars. The night sky, when surrounded by a large national forest, is so different from the city.

Beautiful
First off, the view from the living room is a million dollar view! Absolutely breathtaking. The house was clean, fully stocked, and we loved that it had kayaks available for us to use! We kayaked, fished, relaxed, did stargazing at night, and went to Petit Jean which wasn’t a far drive! We had a fantastic trip and can’t wait to go back!!

Peaceful retreat with beautiful view
This lakehouse has a beautiful view and quiet surroundings. It's not too far of a drive to get to the grocery store, and it's within driving distance for a day trip to Hot Springs and Petit Jean State Park. The house has an abundance of soaps and detergents, plenty of bed linens and towels, and the kitchen is well-stocked. The owner is easy to communicate with and quick to respond to any needs and questions that may arise. My kids, ages 9, 11, 12, 13 and 14, had a great time on the zip line, in the hot tub, fishing off the dock, making smores around the fire, and playing board games. The beds are comfortable, and the deck is a great palce to enjoy coffee in the morning and to see pretty sunrises and sunsets.

You won’t be disappointed
We took our 2 teen kids for a relaxing few days on the lake. This property has everything you need for a laid back lake getaway. The weather hindered our trip, not getting to see some of the landmarks at Petit Jean, but that did not ruin our ability to thoroughly enjoy our time. When the weather is clear, the sunset was absolutely breathtaking. We’ve traveled all over and can honestly say the sunset view from the back porch is unmatched! We spent much of the clear weather time kayaking around the lake or fishing off the dock. Each morning we got a special treat, a juvenile bald eagle would perch on a tree stump on the lake and stretch his wings all the way out in a gorgeous display. In terms of accommodations, the beds are so comfy and the kitchen is stocked with lots of basics/pantry items so you don’t have to bring every little thing like condiments etc. Another plus, is the washer/dryer-not having to bring 4 days of laundry home after the trip is definitely appreciated! Great host who made the whole process super easy. I’m sure we are nearly the last people in the US that was hesitant to use vrbo type properties vs our normal hotel/resorts but this experience has changed our minds.

Awesome Lake Retreat
My family and I really enjoyed our time here. The lake is beautiful and easy to access from the house. We also spent a day at Petit Jean State Park and the property is in a great location - approximately 30 minutes away.
