The only negative was a noisy air conditioner. Difficult for me to sleep. Everything else was fine. Newly renovated with complete kitchen facilities in the room. Oh and a cold water dispenser on the entry floor.

We had a last minute housing issue while traveling and booked here in a rush. The staff was so accommodating and friendly! Easy walk to convention center and lots of restaurants and bars. Definitely not the most modern place, but it worked for a few nights. Also has a full kitchen which is super convenient!

Outstanding Customer Service!

Upon arrival, I was greeted by an extremely friendly staff member named Victor, who immediately made me feel welcome. After I told him I was there to check in, he kindly offered me water and took the time to thoroughly explain everything I needed to know about the hotel and my stay. What truly stood out was Victor’s attentiveness—he did not let me carry my own luggage to the room and made sure I was completely comfortable and informed about all the room details. His helpfulness and genuine hospitality are exactly the reasons why I would gladly return to this hotel again and again. Even the next morning, when he saw me, Victor graciously offered me morning beverages. This level of personal attention and awesome customer service made my stay exceptional. Thank you, Victor, for going above and beyond!

Friendliest Place On The Planet

The staff, especially John (I think the owner) was sooooo sweet and kind and helpful. Look, this place is not the Ritz Carlton, but I’d stay here again just simply because of how kind and nice the staff was. You can tell that they are family run and operated and that they try their best with what they’ve got. And location and price can’t be beat! If you’re looking for a retro hotel/motel experience that won’t disappoint, I HIGHLY recommend! :) I’ll be staying here again.

Overall for the price this place was the great! And the negative reviews complaining about the staff? I’m not sure they were very polite throughout my 2 day stay. Only complaint was the loud street noises that reached into the room on a Saturday night, but it’s a Saturday night downtown what to you expect right? Clean bathroom and bedding. Would stay again Plus room had a kitchen that I didn’t think I would have, was a nice perk

Excellent hotel for the price; staff was friendly and went over and above. Unbelievably convenient if you're going to an event at Toyota Center. Walking distance to bars/restaurants and points of interest downtown. My only complaint is the parking is pricey. But, it's a low cost hotel in a prime location; don't book it and then complain that it's not the 4 seasons.

I love the old school charm of this hotel. While the rooms can only be accessed by stairs it has an overall feel about it that makes you want to come back. It is within walking distance of many great venues for music, shows, and other entertainment. There are some nice shopping and delicious dining within blocks and it is also located right by City Centre. The staff is helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and each have a kitchenette with some basic cooking/dining sets. I would definitely recommend this to anyone not looking for a big $$ hotel with still all the convenience of the location.

The only positive i can say abput this place is that the woman who checked us in was very nice and understanding and professional the room was not as described im disabled but had to climb stairs and the thing that most stressed me was the only lock on the door was the lock that uses the key to get in there was no latch lock for security

When i arrived, i was informed that i had requested dates a month later. OH THE HASSEL OF CALLING. However, the staff immediately called Hotels. Com and straightened it all out. WOW HOW MUCH MORE CAN YOU ASK FOR. It made my stay lesss stressful. So thank you for all you did

I left my wallet on the counter while checking out and someone stole it. The security camera was/is not working per staff (and reportedly it’s been this way for some time. The lady staff member is Great! I found a dead water bug and roach under the nightstand near the window.
