「We absolutely loved our stay at the Mansion House. It is within walking distance of all the sites in Elgin plus has very accessible parking. The surrounding walks and neighboring river made me feel like a character in a Jane Austin novel. Iona, Billy and all the staff made us feel like family. We even learned how to play snooker. Breakfast couldn’t have been better or more convenient. Will definitely try to return every time we go to Scotland!!!」

「We were a couple traveling from the United States, both in our later 50s. We ended up not staying in the room. After having to bring our four suitcases up two flights of stairs, our room was incredibly hot. When we opened the windows to try to cool things off, we were met by several flies and other insects. 「Dated apartment but clean & comfortable」

「Building is in disarray, with things left all over the place. No one was at the front desk. Towels were not changed and our room was not refreshed for our second night. I planned to use my credit card but was told the machine wasn’t working and I had to pay cash, but wasn’t given a receipt. (I was finally emailed a receipt a day later, after I insisted on one.) I never did received the change from my cash payment. It was all quite strange.」

「The lodge is beautiful in very peaceful area, it was very clean with everything we needed. We used it mainly for a base as we were traveling so only really slept there. The lodge is situated between 2 other properties and would benefit ( I’m my opinion) with blinds on all lower windows. The bed is very comfortable but a bit on the narrow side.
