Like any other rental properties, you will never be 100% satisfied, but the pros outweighed the cons here. The unit was clean, the kitchen well-equipped, and views for days! The property is only about a block from Waikiki beach, restaurants, Starbucks, and ABC stores. Parking is included and part of building for easy access. Coin-operated washer/dryer only feet away down the hall. A/C unit was a bit loud, but we turned it off and just kept all windows and lanai doors open for an amazing breeze. Would recommend stocking up on a few essentials from the local grocery stores (toilet poster, paper towels, laundry detergent, etc.) as you only get an limited amount at check in. Check-in and out process was easy and management was very communicative. The cons: unit had a bit of a smell (never figured out what)- we kept fresh air running through and it was not a big deal. The bedroom is a lot smaller than pictured and did not have a dresser. The sleeper sofa is in need of replacement. It squeaks bloody murder anytime you move and it sinks in the middle. Of course, not an issue if you don’t use it. There were also limited beach supplies. Only one beach chair and a small cooler. Nevertheless, you can rent beach chairs and umbrellas at Waikiki beach. Overall, we had a great time and would consider this or similar property at the Banyan Waikiki for a future stay.
