The Waikiki Banyan is the perfect family friendly central location in Waikiki. A large swimming pool and several safe outdoor areas to relax and have fun (or just bathe in the sun) are fully accessible to our condo guests.

Just 3-4 mins walk from Waikiki Beach, The condo itself features two comfortable Queen beds in the bedroom, along with a fully equipped kitchen, living/dining area. Our private lanai is the perfect place to relax with a morning coffee or evening cocktail +1 FREE Parking Spot!

Our two week stay in the unit was OK. But it is the first time we have been forced (by the Honolulu government) to rent a Waikiki hotel instead of a private home in a residential area. Since we lived in Hawaii for nearly 30 years, when we come back to visit, we would much prefer peace and quiet instead of the frenetic pace of Waikiki. Next winter we may go someplace else instead of Hawaii.

Old and outdated all around including furniture, facilities and particularly tv and very uncomfortable sofa. AC worked just ok after constant adjustments. Slow operating elevator access. Parking was reasonably convenient. Only 1 week thankfully.

Waikiki Banyon

Terrible experience. Mold in AC unit, sliding bedroom fell off its track (dangerous and unusable), bathroom door slats caked with build-up dirt, bathroom towel rack fell off the wall, stained bathroom towels, bathroom wall stained with ?, live gecko in the bathtub, hair dryer caked with hair and dirt which made it unusable, living room couch looked like it came from Goodwill, puddling on the balcony floor creating a dangerous situation. Finally there was a jumper on the 26th floor balcony which shut down the lobby and surrounding street for hours, loud sound from drilling on the floor above, evacuation of the entire complex due to false fire alarm which required taking the stairs and consistently broken elevators. This unit needs urgent upgrading and more attention immediately.

Overall the unit was great. I had to wash the floors when we arrived but other than that it was clean. It was a bit dated but comfortable. Had everything we needed for cooking our own meals. Laundry was right down the hall which was super helpful. It was a noisy suite though. Right off the Bbq/pool deck and the people upstairs were pretty loud. Location was perfect. Right down from the beach. We would stay again becausexwe dont spend much time inside anyways.

Just what we needed

This property suited our needs great. We were close to all the beach activity but also easy access to get over to the University. Our visit was to move our son in for school-and having the parking available made all our back and forth trips much easier. The only downside was the cleanliness of the pool/hot tub-which isn’t under the control of the property owners for this unit, so I still give 5 stars overall. Having the ability to cook in unit and use the grills plus have laundry available made it very convenient.

Wonderful Vacation Rental

Our family had a wonderful stay. The unit is well maintained and well equipped with everything we needed. Found the beds very comfortable, provided plenty of towels and the beach toys for the kids were great. A nice walk to restaurants, the beach, and shops just a couple blocks away. The kids also loved the pool and playground. Would definitely stay again. Thank you! :)
