Despite the weather being less than perfect (a storm came in with high winds and rain) we had a fabulous stay at the Windmill. We visited Beaumaris and Penrhyn Castles, went to Plas Newydd and walked the grounds and viewed the house, and got to know Holy Island with walks at Rhoscolyn and Breakwater Country Park. It was lovely to watch the swallows and house martins around the mill and when the sun came out the evenings were lovely. A holiday to remember - and how could one ever forget a stay in a windmill?!

Amazing building, a lovely holiday location.
Amazing building, a lovely holiday location.
No WiFi is the only downside, but de-teching for a week is not a bad thing.

Lovely place to stay. Well cleaned to todays COVID standards. Great views. Quiet and peaceful. 20-30min away from towns/beaches.

The Windmill was a wonderful property in a brilliant location for exploring Anglesey and North Wales. We had an excellent week, the rain stayed away and we managed to see a lot of this truly beautiful part of the world. Every day brought something new, but it was always nice to return to the windmill for a well earned, peaceful rest.

Well equipped and comfortable accommodation, however, maintenance could be updated.

Lack of WiFi was a problem, but understand that it would be impracticable.

I’ve wanted to stay in this windmill since seeing it on the tv programme ‘Restoration Man’. It’s a lovely place, very comfortable and well equipped. It’s just a shame the weather wasn’t better but we were still able to find lots to do.

We had an enjoyable stay at the Windmill.
It was beautifully renovated and well equipped.
The owners should be very proud of there property.
The views of the surrounding area and Snowdonia, on a clear day were great.
The only downside: a car is needed to reach local amenities/shops.

Had a lovely week with mixed weather.
Had a lovely week with mixed weather. Very quirky but needs some care and attention. We were pre warned about problems with downstairs television which we worked around. A few bulbs need replacing but I'm sure cleaners sort those out regularly. Enjoyed the lovely cake which was left for us and the week flew by in the blink of an eye. Spectacular views from the top floor which was well worth the climb every day.

A wonderful, unique experience (although the spiral staircase was a challenge on occasion).
A wonderful, unique experience (although the spiral staircase was a challenge on occasion). The setting was very peaceful with the cows and their calves coming for a sneaky look. The windmill is looking a little tired in places but overall highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at the well fitted out windmill.
We had a wonderful stay at the well fitted out windmill. The attention to detail was amazing. However there were a few maintenance issues, the door to the balcony was very hard to open, the downstairs tv needed tuning in every time you switched it on, many of the bulbs needed replacing and the heated towel rails were not working. This didn’t spoil our stay ,the location was beautiful the views especially from the top floor were stunning and “what a unique place for a holiday”.

We stayed in the Windmill in early June for a week and had a wonderful time.
We stayed in the Windmill in early June for a week and had a wonderful time. The windmill is beautifully decorated and furnished and has all the mod cons you need for a wonderful relaxing time. The surrounding area and Anglesey as a whole is beautiful, the windmill is in an excellent location to access all of the island. We really enjoyed our trip and the fact we got to stay in a beautiful quirky windmill was the icing on the cake.

Great holiday.
Great holiday. Having The Windmill as a holiday home really made our stay a wonderful experience. It was well equipped, comfortable, and finished to a high quality. Although we were out during the day we used the facilities in the evening.
We would recommend this as an unusual and stunning place to stay.
