The staff at the counter don't seems to be able communicate effectively. We checked in quite late and we were told about dinner need reservation before specific time resulting we headed out nearby ramen shop but were not accepting anymore customer. We went back to our room and order for room service but was declined because the staff couldn't speak english. We snacked on our biscuit at the end as our dinner.

As this is my first ryokan experience, I was very impressed and satisfied with the overall experience. The outdoor private onsen was great. The highlight was the level of service provided by the staff. They were very helpful and ensured our meal adhered to our dietary needs. Would visit again.
