The Blue Crab Cottage at 74 Forest Drive is a wonderful open floor plan with 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, a Carolina room, and is centrally located in Sea Pines in the private Greenwood Forest Neighborhood. Our home away from home is newly remodeled and redecorated to make your vacation a comfortable and relaxing escape from reality! About 1 mile from beautiful private beaches and a lovely 8-10 minute bike ride to The Sea Pines Beach Club our home is the perfect location to all that Sea Pines has to offer. Two of the bedrooms have king sized beds and one bedroom has two full sized beds. Each bedroom comes equipped with a TV and luxury linens, including a clean duvet cover for each new guest. There is a large great room and a newly remodeled kitchen with a sitting area. There is also a cozy Carolina room with a 75 inch TV that could be used for an extra sleeping area. The laundry room is huge and can house all of your beach towels and toys. The master bedroom has a private bathroom remodeled in 2020 with his and her vanities, and a large walk-in closet. The rear deck is equipped with a Weber grill and beautiful bistro lighting. We provide 4 beach chairs and 2 tennis rackets, and other various beach toys. The Greenwood Forest pool is a 1 minute bike ride from our cottage. We will provide up to two vehicle passes for your stay which will be mailed to you prior to your arrival. ( n/a if you book a week prior to your stay. Please discuss this with the owner)No waiting in line to pick up your passes after a long day of traveling! The Greenwood Forest neighborhood is a quiet, private, pet-friendly community that has a community pool, tennis courts, basketball court, a playground area for residents and guests, and bike paths that lead to Harbor Town, restaurants, beaches, and marinas.

Family Reunion

We had the best time staying at The Blue Crab Cottage! The house was spotless, very comfortable and well appointed. Tina is an amazing host and communicating with her was fast and easy. Everything was as described. We loved our time there and hope to stay again next year!

Girls' Trip

Beautiful house!

Tina's house is beautifully decorated and laid out. We were two couples who had more than enough room. Location was great. Very quiet. Would easily stay there again. Highly recommend a restaurant called Coast. Right on the beach. Great food and drinks.

Blue Crab Cottage

We absolutely love this property. The house is a great size for our family. It is a beautiful home. We absolutely love everything about it. The Smalleys are always wonderful. Blue Crab Cottage feels like home.

I can not say enough good things about this house it is perfect. It is always well kept and spotless. The neighborhood is nice and quiet. My family has stayed in this house for the last three years in Hilton Head. If you have not stayed in Sea Pines when you go to Hilton Head you are missing out and this is the best house in a great neighborhood.

Two for Two

We’ve stayed at this home twice now and both visits were stellar. In a sea of options for rentals in Hilton Head, it is telling when a single location brings you back again and again. The pull back starts with the generous and very organized hosts. They have provided every detail to make your stay a complete one. Along with providing a space that accommodates the family and dog in comfort. Easy access to the beaches and amenities in Sea Pines. You can’t go wrong booking this home.

Excellent HHI Rental

Nice renovations, a lot of living spaces for multiple guests to spread out, cozy TV room that one of our boys slept comfortably in. All basic cookware and dishware provided. If you plan on baking or cooking something special, you may want to bring the pans or contact the host to make sure it’s available. Our contact with the host was frequent and more than timely, one of the best vacay rental hostesses I’ve experienced. The house also comes equipped with a few beach chairs and umbrellas if you’re trying to pack light.

Beautiful home with all the accoutrements!

6 adults and a baby. The home was beautifully decorated and loved having so many rooms to spread out in. Played games in the dining room and ate meals at the kitchen table because the view was so pretty. Every kitchen gasket you could need down to a colander and a lemon squeezer! The owners were so very helpful, from renting bikes to a pack n play. It’s true if you forget your pass for the car you’ll have to buy another. But it can’t be used to get a fishing license. Need the blue pass so don’t forget it! Beds and linens were very comfortable as well as the pillows. Plenty of fab pillows. So close to the pool too which was nice and a good alternative to getting the baby in the water. Thanks for a memorable and fun vacation!

Beautiful, cozy home--perfect for a family beach getaway!

We took our family of 5 (kids ages 10-16) to HHI for the week and stayed in this lovely home. It was clean, nicely decorated, and had everything we needed. Our favorite parts of the house were the three separate living areas and the extremely well-stocked kitchen. Everyone had space to go where they wanted to read, watch TV, or play games on quiet mornings or rainy days. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need--crock pot, air fryer, coffee maker, Keurig, all the gadgets, utensils, dishes and food storage. The laundry room is spacious and gave us extra space to store things for the week. The house has games, books, extra blankets, plus great TV's so there's no chance of boredom for kids. The house also has extra beach chairs and a few other beach items in storage, in case you need them. All of these little details made our stay very comfortable. The only critique we really have is that the beds and pillows were just okay, but that is a very minor issue. The homeowner was great with communication and helped to make our week even better. We highly recommend this home and were very sad to leave. One small detail that we would have found helpful in a review is the beach access--riding bikes to the beach felt very long, even to the closest beach access point at boardwalk 26. The Beach Club is the only place you can park a car, and it is so nice, but it gets crowded. The beach access just felt complicated. But overall, this house is amazing!!

Beautiful, roomy propetry

This was our first family vacation to Hilton Head. My wife and I had been here 3 years ago. To begin with our whole family continued to comment on how beautiful this property and the setting are. We had other family who were staying in the villas close to the Salty Dog and they were also impressed with the house. We had 7 adults and 2 children in our party and never felt crowded. We had our other family members over for dinner one night- total of 15 people and again we had plenty of room. It was not only roomy but it was comfortable. The house has a lot of natural light but the landscaping gave you a sense of privacy. Great to have the bikes. There was a lot to do that was within a short bike ride. Lots of boards with maps to help directionally challenged people like me. You had to ride to the beach, unlike oceanfront condos we have had on some other family vacations However the family without exception said they enjoyed the ride to the beach. the only downside about getting to the beach had nothing to do with the Smalleys. We had a lot of stuff- 13x13 canopy, chairs, toys for the kids, lunches, etc which meant that we had to drop off by vehicle because there was no place to park when you get to the beach by 9 or later. We worked around that and really enjoyed our time at the beach. Our family all commented that they really enjoyed there stay and definitely recommend the Blue Crab and Hilton Head Island for a vacation.

Fabulous Vacation!

Can’t say enough about our stay. Tina is so reachable and full of information. We had the family and the two dogs and the area is perfect for a dog walking, taking them to the beach. Everything is within 10 to 20 minutes. You can walk and bike to the beach! Just fabulous vacation didn’t want to leave.

Sea pines family retreat.

Another Lovely HHI Vacation

This was our 15th summer in a row staying in HHI for our family vacation. Our children our young adults and they've grown up exploring the island, as well as staying in many different homes. We really enjoyed this home and working with Tina. She was accommodating, responsive and super friendly. The home was beautifully appointed, spacious and in a super location. So grateful for everything that this home added to our stay in HHI this year!
