「The cabin was very cute, super clean, and well stocked. It is conveniently close to Salida, many hiking trails, and local hot springs. It was also very quiet at night. However, a house is being constructed in close proximity to the cabin and we heard that noise throughout the day. 「A very different and interesting location with incredible views in piñon and juniper forests. The owner provided great information on the solar and other systems. Because several days were cloudy we did use the on site generator to be sure we had adequate battery power. We would definitely stay again…it’s all about place which was fantastic especially when the sun came out and we saw new snow on the Sangre de Cristos!!」

「The location was great, it is near the river, but depending on time of year, river access may not be possible. The place is well appointed in some respects, but totally not in others. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking implements, but lacks the bare basics like salt and pepper.
When we stayed in June, it was getting hot and in order to create airflow, we got out the fan from the closet, but were unable to open most windows due to missing screens, and it was very buggy outside, so open...

「When we stayed here four years ago, the property was in much better shape. It hasn't been maintained, including the landscaping. The backyard was littered with trash, and the property desperately needs repairs. I have photos that i can submit if that is helpful.」
