The house is wonderful with a clear view of the lake and the included boat slip is a game changer. The dock has swings and a ladder for swimming and some very large turtles. We launched at Devil’s Fork Boat Ramp, which is very close to the rental and has one of the nicest launch ramps we’ve used. The launch fee is $5 and if you keep your receipt, you won’t have to pay to trailer your boat when you are leaving. There is an area near the dock to store your trailer during the stay. We ate at Janssen's Lakefront Restaurant which has a dock in case you don’t want to drive. The food is a little pricey, but delicious and the dessert options are amazing! The folks at Greers Ferry Bait & Tackle are very nice. They even offered to open on Sunday if we needed more worms and crickets. We caught some nice sized fish in the cove right across from the rental. If you like bird watching, take a hummingbird feeder and some bird seed to fill up the feeder. I put some sliced hot dogs in the yard to attract some wild life but all we attracted was an adorable neighborhood basset hound. The marina is nice with a gift shop and offers rentals of all kinds. Greers Ferry lake is huge with cliffs and even a small water fall. We really enjoyed boating the perimeter to see the beautiful homes. I wish we could have stayed longer—3 days is not enough.
