"I actually didn’t realize when I was booking that this is the old Hilton Riverfront. Although it’s still run by Hilton, it’s the Hotel Ballast now. I stayed here years ago under the old name, etc and I could definitely tell several upgrades had been made. It’s walkable to the amphitheater but it does take a while. We went to a concert one night and stayed around the hotel the next. Downtown Wilmington is very walker friendly. We only left the hotel once, and that was to go to Jimbo’s for breakfast on Saturday morning. My only complaint about the stay was that the lighting isn’t great for putting on your makeup. Bring a travel lighted mirror if you have one."

"The home is located in a new construction neighborhood. It looks brand. It was so clean, like we were the first to stay there. Very impressed. All spaces are comfortable. It really felt like a home away from home. My only disappointment was that we were not made aware the pool is not constructed yet. Though this was not a deal breaker as the beach is only 10 minutes away. Overall, I will definitely keep this jome in my favorites to return."

"We enjoyed our stay at this cottage. It is old, but was clean. The kitchen was well stocked. Please note there is not a roof on the porch which would have been nice. Also, the drive way is small and hard to see to back out of . It would be a great help if the bushes out front were cut down. It was a short walk to the beach which was never crowded. Overall, we had a great week!"
