Upstairs leads to a bedroom with kingsize bed with glass wall overlooking the beautiful countryside and has an en-suite shower room, there is an additional family shower room. Outside, there is a lawned and decked garden to enjoy, set with garden furniture making an ideal social space, this leads on to the garden room with fabulous eight person hot tub to relax and unwind after a day of exploring. On an evening the dark skies are spectacular, you’re bound to enjoy some star gazing!

Vallum Villa is perfect for walkers and cyclists alike. The property is close to the Pennine Way and various bridleways and cycle routes passing rivers, forests and castles. Hadrian’s Cycleway (Route 72) and the Sandstone Way cycle route can both be found nearby. The location is excellent for exploring the spectacular scenery of the north of England, the Scottish borderland and the Lake District National Park, which is just an hour away. Nearby you can discover the Vindolanda Roman Fort, The Sill Landscape Discovery Centre and the world-famous Sycamore Gap on Hadrian’s Wall. Also within easy reach is Haltwhistle, which is the ‘Geographic Centre of Britain’, with sports centre and outdoor heated swimming pools, and Burn Gorge.

A must visit is the historic market town of Hexham, which boasts a stunning abbey, the oldest gaol in the country, and an abundance of eclectic shops, restaurants and pubs. Continue to the beautiful Roman town of Corbridge and meander round its boutique shops, art galleries and antique shops, stop for a coffee or take a stroll along the river. At the end of a day exploring, enjoy a short stroll to the popular Twice Brewed Inn, serving great food and assortment of local ales with large beer garden, onsite Brew House and Dark Skies Observatory. Locally there is an abundance of eateries to choose from. with nearby Haltwhistle, Bardon Mill and Hexham offering a range of pubs and restaurants. Pub and restaurant 350 yards.
