"The gite was very well equipped and comfortable. Probably one of the best we have stayed in over many years. The surrounding countryside is variable, with flat plains , hills and lakes. If you are interested in Ww1 the preserved trenches in the area are the best I have seen. Verdun and Nancy, which are a short drive away, are both historical and picturesque."

"Week end hivernal très reposant le long du canal et au milieu des champs inondés par la Meuse. Endroit très calme. Promenade en forêt et sur le chemin de halage avec une petite visite sur Verdun. La télé et le Wifi ne sont pas au meilleur de leurs formes mais nous n'étions pas là pour ça. Propriétaire très sympathique. Nous sommes repartis très reposés. Lieu à recommander pour se ressourcer. "We had a great time staying here when we came to visit Verdun. We found the place to be very peaceful and we were able to really relax. The hostess was very friendly and was always available for our questions. We appreciated the many small details provided the hostess such as a lovely bouquet of wildflowers."

"Der Eigentümer und die Verwalterin vor Ort sind sehr nett. Das Haus ist grundsätzlich gut eingerichtet. Es liegt aber leider direkt hinter einem Bauernhof und einem offen Kuh- und Schafstall. Dadurch stinkt es fast durchweg im Garten, auf der Terrasse und im Haus sehr stark! Wenn sich der Wind dreht, hat es stark nach Schwein gestunken, da auf der anderen Straßenseite ein Schweinestall ist. Durch die angrenzenden offenen Stallungen waren überall (vor allem im Haus) sehr viele Fliegen; vor allem...

"L’idée et le concept son bon! A coter de ça énorme négligence au niveau de la propreté, de l’entretien et des finitions. Je précise également que le terrain extérieur n’est pas accessible directement depuis la maison ce qui n’a pas été préciser dans l’annonce."

"Beautiful house with medieval feel to it. Nice garden with evening sun. Very spacious and clean. Boulangerie is 3 minutes away on foot. Close to the river for a walk. Close to Nancy, Toul, Bar-le-Duc and forests for walking. Owner was very nice and helpful."

"Il était convenu que la sœur du propriétaire nous accueille. Personne à notre arrivée. 2h plus tard nous réussissons à joindre le propriétaire en Asie via Whatsapp. Nous récupérons le code de la boîte à clef. Heureusement qu’à 20h un 15 août, le pizzaiolo était ouvert car vu l’état de la vaisselle nous n’aurions pas pu dîner. Le logement n’est absolument pas entretenu ! Garden is a very very big plus point. What would make the garden complete are a few movable lounge chairs. The host and property manager were very quick in responding to all our request. "The hotel is quite something! Walked around the grounds and it was amazing.. To the spiral staircases, to the gardens to the violin playing over the speakers. Room was spacious and the bed super comfortable. The only neutral-negative comment would be the breakfast. It cost 15Euros which is fine. In fact it could easily be baked into the cost of the room and I wouldn't bat an eye since the stay itself it great value. The breakfast doesn't live up the magnificence of the rest of the hotel. "

"Don’t book this hotel, it may be a scam. I had a reservation, arrived before check in closed, no one there and their out of hours system did not recognise my booking. Tried the phone numbers they gave, no response, had to drive on and make a different booking somewhere else. Hotel no responding to hotels.com so delaying my refund. DONT BOOK THIS HOTEL!"

"Stopped here en route to Italy by car, very much off the beaten track. Lovely countryside location, very peaceful. Pleasant welcome. good room with all facilities, bed was adjustable and very comfortable. Decor a little dated, but this is part of the charm of choosing a rural hotel. Excellent meal, reasonably priced; lady who served us was especially nice. Good breakfast. Would definitely come back."
