Good to stay at a traditional English hotel. Luxury room definitely worth the upgrade. More space and a desk and a view.

Nice comfortable room although having WiFi code in rooms would be helpful as there are no internal phones in rooms . Very central to everything you need . The restaurant closed due to a private party / wedding so we ate in the book shop out the back of the hotel .
Extensive, with quiet rooms and lots of facilities. There is a little cocktail bar where the staff are knowledgeable and friendly, and everyone was very welcoming. Breakfast options were good.
The Staff were excellent, very helpful and after care service was also ecellent, I did not take my receipt on checkout and emailed the front desk (Maddie) who was very helpful and sent me the reciipt immediately, for some hotels once you have left you are dead to them, but not here, thank you
Room was spacious and clean, its an hotel that has old world charm but with modern amenities, there were a couple of creaky floorboards but this added to the charm.
The hotel is centrally located and parking was very easy. The staff are fantastic friendly courteous and helpful in any way they could be. However the hotel whilst comfortable and clean looks tired and could do with a refurb.
Down stairs is beautiful, good quality food and amazing old building.
Upstairs mattresses hard lumpy and uneven, poor night's sleep. Used soap in shower tray from previous Tennant. Bedroom and bathroom could do do with upgrading
Upstairs rooms let hotel down.
Friendly staff
Very easy check in and excellent staff.
Location is right in town which is perfect if travelling without a vehicle.
Room was on the second floor, there is a small elevator which is good to use when hauling luggage on the first and last day, but stairs are wide and not steep if you’re looking to get steps in!
Room was a good size - I booked a single room - and had a good sized bathroom. TV and towel rail weren’t working - mentioned to the staff and they moved me to a new room really quickly and with no fuss (12/10 customer service!!). New room had bigger bed too!
Breakfast was good, had both made to order and buffet food was OK.
Conditions of the hotel overall was fair it is an older building so shows signs of wear and tear. Window in the second room didn’t close tightly but the amazing heavy curtains kept any potential drafts away!
There is parking around the hotel, and I believe they have a parking area at the back. It’s very congested and parking spots especially at the front are usually full.
Hereford cathedral it’s right across from the hotel (about a min walk) and well worth a visit. There are shopping and restaurants all around with a variety of food available from snacks to good dining. Prices do vary but are not extravagant. Hotel also has a good restaurant.
Charming older hotel in great location in Hereford. Quick walk to the cathedral, restaurants or any shopping. Inexpensive and quick taxi ride to Brinsop Court if attending a wedding or other event.

We stayed in a twin room which was very comfortable and the staff were very friendly.
I can normally sleep through anything but the noise from the air con units (I presume that's what they were) outside our window kept me awake most of the night. It sounded like a motor running constantly. I believe ear plugs should be put in those rooms that border the units.
What was a lovely stay was spoilt by the constant buzz outside the window
This is a hotel with traditional style and modern comfort. We had a week's holiday here participating in the Three Choirs Festival. The hotel made us very welcome even to the extend of presenting us with a welcome gift. It all added to a most enjoyable break with good food and drink, good company and excellent entertainment. My daughter and son-in-law particularly enjoyed the cocktail bar so we made them a gift to come back on their own some-time. Thank you. A Five Star Review - we had a wonderful time!
