「I found Orchard house very personal to the owners ie loads of personal belongings, I didn’t like that the dog was allowed in the kitchen」

「A very comfortable country pub, with great food, top chef and well kept beer. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. My room was a tad small and basic but the bathroom was modern and hey this is a 16th century building and I enjoyed my stay.」

I was made to feel at home from the start and the hosts went out of their way to help make my stay as comfortable as possible (including an offer of a lift to a local pub!). 「It was a perfect stay for 3nights in Aldbury. The village is so quaint and the people so friendly. Our room was lovely but the metal stairs up outside from the main pub were steep and when coming down them, I often scraped the back of my heels. This was because there was safety surface applied to stop you slipping. Staff were very friendly and the food was excellent.」
