The Gann Quarry enjoys the most amazing location, nestling in fields just above the foreshore overlooking Dale Bay on the Gann Estuary. This is a designated SSSI area that teems with unique flora and fauna, a mecca for birdlife. Renovated throughout and furnished in a contemporary style, the main rooms offer panoramic views over the water. The lounge with wooden floor is dual aspect and the large picture windows maximise the wonderful outlook, while a wood burning stove ensures cosy evenings. In the modern fitted kitchen diner, washing up will never be a chore with these ever changing views of the estuary to admire. The paved terrace is an ideal spot to enjoy an alfresco meal on a summer’s evening while the sun slowly sinks, or to simply sit and savour the wonderful view over the waterway.Walk 200 yards across the field and you are on the foreshore or, if you are feeling adventurous, take a more direct route and use the steps in the cliff down to the beach. Really tucked away, this is a perfect spot for sailors and bird watchers or those who simply enjoy messing around on the water. The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path is on your doorstep giving excellent opportunities to explore this unique area. You can walk round the coastline to the sandy bay at Lindsway, while a host of other beautiful sandy beaches including West Dale Bay, Marloes and Musslewick are all nearby. There is a popular village pub serving excellent food across the estuary at Dale (approximately 4 miles by road) where there is also a restaurant at the Yacht Club and a variety of water sports to try.A boat trip from Martins Haven round the islands of Skomer and Grassholm to see the seals, puffins and shearwaters is a must of any trip.A truly magical holiday location.SSSI - Site of Special Scientific Interest.
