Best cottage on the beach

This is our top vacation destination. It’s our fifth stay. We love being able to cook our own meals in the well-furnished kitchen and then literally step outside to the beach. We could hear the waves from our bedroom. Sunrises are stunning. We saw sea turtles and seals on the beach. Host is very responsive and helpful. Snorkel gear is provided, and there’s often some nonperishable food in the pantry (coffee, oil, sugar, salt/pepper). We can’t wait to return.

Didnt want to leave!

This was a perfect spot for our family of 4, with 2 teens. Waking up each moring to that incredible view of the ocean & sunrise was amazing, as was having the beach right out our door, and swimming/snorkling with sea turtles! The ocean breezes and fans worked well to keep us comfortable despite no AC (even for us Northwest Washington people!). We loved the location in a quiet peaceful part of the island that still had close access to amenities and the beautiful north shore. Even though it's remote, it was a short walk from a few food trucks, and a little minimart with a Hawaiian kitchen, as well as a quick drive to the grocery store and other options. The only reason we knocked a star off of "cleanliness" was because there was what looked like black mold above one of the kids beds. Other than that it was clean and well stocked (though a drying rack would have been nice, since there's nowhere to hang out swimsuits and beach towels to dry). We loved our stay, it felt like a good value for what we paid, and we definitely want to come back! We are headed to the other side of the island next, but wish we had just booked this place for our whole trip!

Great location, nice beach, very clean comfortable room. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5: Cable TV did not work, (ROKU worked, so not a huge deal) and construction on the large hive hotel was a bit annoying. Would stay here again after construction is complete, though.

Beachfront paradise

Terrie is such a warm and welcoming host, treats you like Ohana. Excellent location and very nicely supplied with everything you need. Just bring your Aloha spirit and you will enjoy immensely. Walk out the door and in just a few steps and you’re standing in the sand. The views, including the sunrises are incredible. Mellow waves, swimming is easy. Reserved parking, security guards 24/7, laundry rooms, etc. We will be back for sure, mahalo

Great location

This place is in a perfect location, right on the beach and close to Jurassic park ranch. The place itself is a little outdated and needs some renovation in my opinion. Everything else was great.

Loved this place.

Cabin is clean and comfortable. A great spot right on the beach. Good swimming and snorkelling. Central to activities and popular spots on the North Shore. Would definitely stay here again.

Great Cottage by the Ocean

Great little cottage with spectacular ocean views. The sunrise was gorgeous and the sea breeze and sound of waves at night made it truly magical. If you’re looking for a true Hawaiian stay in a safe area, book this cottage. I’m so happy I’m booking three weeks in 2022.

Beautiful location! Great for a small family!

Everything went smoothly. The cottage was even nicer than the pictures can really show. It was very clean and the beach was perfect for us and our children. We loved snorkeling right there and exploring the North Shore. Would love to return.

My North Shore tour

Location was great to access North Shore and South windward side. Saw sea turtles on the beach 50 ft from the apt. between 9pm and 5 am. Well equipped kitchen with some condiments and even sun screen.

25th Anniversary

I wanted to take my wife to Hawaii for our 25th anniversary. I used to live on the island when I was a kid, this was my first time back. We stayed for two weeks and visited many great sites. We loved seeing turtles on the beach every day and night. The unit was well maintained although I would suggest making the front door jam stronger.All in all we had a spectacular trip. Would definitely recommend!!

4 nights right on the beach!!!

My husband and I stayed here for four night at the very start of our two weeks on the Hawaiian islands for our 30th anniversary! It was shabby chic! Small, simple and very cozy, we had everything we needed! The best part was listening to the waves at night and getting up really early to see the sunrise and watch the turtles make their way back to the sea from the under the bushes where they slept at the edge of the beach! Such a beautiful spot! The manager gave us very detailed instructions so check in and out was easy! Thank you Terry!!!

Great property and love the location.

We stayed at this location for a total of 9 nights. The location is great. You are far enough out of the chaos of Honolulu and Waikiki. But still close enough to make a day trip into the big city or the North Shore. The view was amazing. We really enjoyed watching the sunrise from our room. They had all the basics. But, and extra frying pan and a few beach chairs would have been nice. Overall this place was a 10 out of 10.

Peace and tranquility

Peacefulness enveloped me as soon as I stepped into the cottage. It was exactly as pictured and described, an oasis away from the hustle of Honolulu with a beach just as beautiful as the expensive resorts. The kitchen was stocked for cooking and baking and the people on site were friendly and helpful. The security guard called up to my open window to tell me about a sea turtle on the beach! A lovely property.

Loved it! Perfect location quiet cute cabin

I really enjoyed the cabin. Felt like home to me. I didn't want to leave. The view is amazing. Listening to the ocean during the night so relaxing. We all loved it. Kids being able to wake up run out back to the water in seconds. Definitely would stay again! Terry was very helpful was on site and always returned my phone calls. Paddle board and kayak rentals on site excellent price. Thank you all very much I can't wait to return some day!!! Mahalo

Perfect location, literally steps from the beach. Room is clean.

I love this cottage, the view is amazing. I didn't have to pack amd drive to the beach, the beach was literally 30 steps from the door. Love the sounds of the waves at night. The location is perfect, close to north shore, haleiwa and many more beaches. It is so calming to be here, away from all the city noise and traffic. Yet only 25mins from the city of Kaneohe. Our room A4 has the perfect view, large windows facing the window with no obstructed view (no big palm trees swaying in front of us). My friend has already asked for the address to this place. We all love that the beach us right there, like our own private beach because there is no public beach access so it's very clean and peaceful. And the price is amazing compared to those high towers that charge outrageous price for a view like this

Amazing views and peaceful location

We had a a amazing time. The location of this unit is phenomenal. We woke up everyday to the sounds of the ocean and stunning sunrises. The property is undergoing construction and we never heard a thing. Property is clean and comfortable. We loved being able to just walk down to the beach and swim. This place is truly a gem! 10/10 would recommend!! Side notes: Parking in our spot was very very tight, if it had not been for my husband we would have not been able to park at all. We had to unload the vehicle prior to parking because we could not open the back doors or front passenger door at all once parked between column and other space. Getting back out was just as difficult since we aren’t allowed to back in.

Paradise!

The pictures don't do it justice. Nothing could you prepare you for how beautiful it is. The cottage is updated, has a larger kitchen than some other cottages I've stayed in at this complex. This particular cottage also has the best ocean breeze due to the location of the windows compared to other cottages in the same complex. We didn't need a/c because the ocean breeze cooled it off 24/7. Listening to ocean waves morning and night is dreamy. We were able to snorkel right outside the back door. We saw several colors of fish, and a few turtles. Make sure you take a night walk on the beach and you will see several turtles on the beach for the night. We will never stay anywhere else when we visit Oahu. Thank you for such an amazing cottage!

Great view and comfortable location

The condo itself is great; tastefully decorated with all of the amenities needed for a great beach getaway. The location is nice, convenient to the North Shore but without the traffic seen around Sunset Beach area. The view is outstanding and the windows open up to let the sea breeze flow in. There were a couple of negatives: The complex is pretty lackluster and looks like it needs a remodel. Doesn't look like much has been updated since it was built in the 70s. The unit is in a comfortable two story building with 4 individual units but it is part of a much larger and taller apartment/condo complex next door. Of all the units in the complex I think this one must be one of the nicest. The condo itself needs a deep cleaning. There was caked on dust on most surfaces and since you pay a cleaning fee it would be great to have the place really clean.

This place is not for everyone. The positives: 1. The view from the unit is amazing. 2. The ocean breeze at night and the sound of the waves were excellent. 3. Having the beach so close was great. 4. The unit itself was clean. It had everything you needed The negatives: 1. The building and unit are old and not kept up. Other reviews give specifics. 2. There was loud construction which according to prior reviews has been going on for years. 3. It is very hot without AC. 4. The big windows allow guests in the units next to you to see everything you are doing. If you close curtains for privacy then you get very hot! 5. It was VERY noisy! With windows open you hear noise from surrounding units 6. Jacqui was passive aggressive. I sent a message about the lack of privacy, the heat and bright outdoor lights that were shining into the bedroom window. She sent a response saying that we were the first guests in 15 years who complained--we read prior reviews about privacy so we weren't. She then showed up at the Unit at 9am unannounced, and when i asked about the outside lights shining in the bedroom she said they cant be turned off for security and are only on 7pm til 7am. This also was not true...They were on 24/7 until another guest complained then they were out 24/7. She offered black out curtains and another fan but that wouldn't help. If you are fine with a run-down noisy very hot beach house right on the beach with amazing views and a nice ocean breeze then you will love it.
