"My wife and I loved our time at this property. It has a very cute garden where we would sit and have tea. We also enjoyed the art display in the living room, which was all made by the host’s mother. The property is in an area away from the city where we could get a taste of everyday life in Japan, so we were delighted every time we walked to and from the train stations. "A highlght from our trip. If you can, definitely stay here at least one night, instead of doing a day-trip to Nara (more time if you can spare it!) The hotel and staff are just fantastic. This gives you an idea of what you can expect from a hotel that receives foreign and local dignitaries and heads of state. Walking distance from the park/ landmarks and also restaurants and shopping nearby. The room itself was ample (more than you will probably see in your whole stay in Japan) with modern rooms incorporated into a fantastic historic building. "
