A Short's Walk - Sandy Lakefront with Spa / Hot Tub and Kayaks!

"Our stay was very enjoyable. Tabitha was easy to deal with and check in was easy and even allowed us to check in a little early. The location of the house was ideal. We loved the hot tub, fire pit, kayaks and all the bikes. It was also clean and tidy. There were a few things missing in the house, such as a bathroom with the upstairs bedroom The furniture could have been in better shape."

"Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The correspondence with agency was a bit confusing. Had to request address & details regarding check-in. Cabin was rustic but had everything we needed. Reminded me of my grandparents place, growing up.Swimming was perfect for our grandson as it was a shallow, sandy & quiet lake. Wish we’d stayed longer. Close to Torch, Elk & other lakes too.Dock could use some work & wish there were fewer weeds & rocks near dock, so getting into water was easier for 70 year old grandparents, but we made it work. Overall, a nice family getaway."

"The little beach front we got was great! We loved just getting away from everything and enjoyed the water noise. Nicely located near a local coffee Cafe and some wineries and food options. A little pricey but we went all out for our anniversary! Only flaw is could say was the bed was very hard, but i guess everyone has there personal opinion on comfort!Overall it was a very relaxing stay, with a great location"

"This property has lots of amenities: besides the sauna and hot tub, there’s comfy furniture on a raised platform just steps from the beach; games to play inside and outside (cornhole, basketball hoop); a warm outdoor shower; shade areas for lounging or reading and sun areas for tanning; multiple kayaks; beach shoes for wading into the stony, bay floor. It offers a bountifully equipped kitchen and a wonderfully open floor plan (bring a white noise machine for snorers). The view from the house and lawn is spectacular and magical."

"We selected this particular rental home due to its location (walkable to the beach, restraunts and shops) and its size (comfortable for a large family) and it did NOT disappoint! The window ac units kept the home cool on near 90 degree days, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was nicely stocked and there was plenty of room inside and outside for our group. There were ample towels and we appreciated having a washer and dryer during our two week stay, as well as access to the vacuum and cleaning supplies to freshen things up between visits from our adult children who joined us intermittently during our stay.We many of the provided amenities including playing cards, taking in the breeze on the porch rockers, using the beach chairs on the municipal beach, and sitting around the bonfire in other chairs from the shed. The 3rd floor is most suitable for preteens, and our group did not need to utilize it due to little overlap with our kids' visits. Never the less, occasional use of the half bathroom up there provided additional convenience. I highly recommend this rental!"

"Rustic cabin with lots of old furniture. Internet worked great, beds were comfortable. The setting is incredibly peaceful with a stunning view of the water. This cottage is a step back in time, so bring your books and cards to entertain yourselves. I appreciated the time to step away from the TV. In addition, there are lots of places to visit in the area. Elk Rapids is a quaint town that offers a great place for families to visit and enjoy the big lake."
