I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at the Mariott Hartford Windsor Hotel which took place from Thursday June 26 to Monday June 30. My Expedia confirmation number for this stay is 73146506100801
I am writing to express my absolute outrage and deep disappointment following a horrifying experience at your Marriott property located at 28 Day Hill Road, Windsor, CT. I checked in during the early hours of the morning—approximately 1:00 a.m.—only to find the hotel in complete darkness, with no power, no lighting, no WiFi, and no working electrical outlets. This was not only unacceptable—it was unsafe and outright dangerous.
I was forced to shower using the flashlight on my phone, and despite being a paying guest, I could not charge my phone or access WiFi until the following evening. The situation escalated when I attempted to leave the room: the entire corridor and elevator area were pitch black. I had to carry my young child and our luggage down six flights of stairs in total darkness. That is an extreme safety hazard and a complete failure of basic hospitality and duty of care.
Let me be very clear:
This experience was traumatizing, unsafe, and unfit for any guest, much less a parent traveling with a child.
