"Close to town for shopping and restaurants. We enjoyed Waterhouse and Harlow's Pub. Heard that the Pearl is amazing but did not make it there. Brady's Grill, Beepa and Lulu's Restaurant are in walking distance. Visited Monadnock Eats which is great for grab n go. The last night we enjoyed a firepit at The Riverhouse with family. I forgot the Smores set up which would have been perfect. We all enjoyed the continental breakfast and ease of getting extra towels, Water, Coffee and Ice."

"The room was a bit dusty and a lamp didn't work. Also, when I opened the door to enter the room the stand for the suitcase was right there in the walkway, which was difficult to maneuver with full hands. Overall, the hotel needed a refresh as everything seems old and a bit unloved. Breakfast was also very lackluster. The staff was friendly though!"

"A true old inn, private bathrooms, sitting room and a comfortable bed. Coffee, snacks and breakfast items in each room. The food in the restaurant was exceptional. Friendly staff."

"Really nothing wrong with the hotel or its staff. The problem was homeless people living in the parking lot after hours. Cars running outside in the lot all night. A new security policy needs to be implemented."

"What a perfect place for a relaxing vacation! We thoroughly enjoyed the lake house. Views of the lake from many rooms, a wonderful deck for grilling and eating, and a great dock to watch the sunset. Our trip was a little too early in the season to enjoy the kayaks and paddleboats - so we will just need to return! The house is walking distance to a set of trails for an enjoyable and low key hike. Across the street is a playground and two minutes down the road is a small beach great for small children. The house itself is very well appointed. The kitchen had everything we needed. There were games a plenty for every age group, soccer and basketballs, and lots of lawn games. Excellent communication with the homeowners! We hope to return! "
