A great spot and very friendly hosts. Loved the record player and puzzles. Was just what we needed after a long day skiing the day before. Thank you Kath and Dan 🙂
This cottage was exactly like the listing, and was the perfect base for some exploring. Within easy reach of Okarito Lagoon, which is a definite must see!
Lovely peaceful stay in a quirky nostalgic cottage. We absolutely loved it!! The kids had a lot of fun with the retro games and toys and we especially liked the record player.
Great cottage and memories made! Exactly as described - and has got our teens out of their comfort zones. Was great to get them to experience an old skool way of living! Highlight was the hot springs down the road. Really appreciated the tour of the property and have recommended the cottage to friends already.
Beautiful, cosy cottage. Immaculately kept and period furnishings were on point. Just enough to make the stay comfortable, while being a wonderfully relaxing escape! Highly recommended.
The cottage was just as we expected and we were able to relax and have lots of fun dressing up as well as exploring the area. The beds were comfy and warm.
Loved Teapot Cottage! Very quirky, great hosts, awesome fire bath that Dan lit for us, wonderful dog Mellow. Comfy beds.Lovely walk up to the Amethyst hot springs on the Wanganui river bank, also loved the HariHari coastal walkway- an easy track, the drive in goes past interesting whitebaiters’ huts. Kath even helped source some whitebait for us Highly recommend!
Conveniently located to many natural attractions, this home is an attraction in itself. Comfortable, clean, and full of antiques from days gone by. I felt right at home! Kath was helpful with advice about the area. A keeper, for sure.
It’s an acquired taste, bed is comfortable and it’s as clean as it can be, ( as there’s so much stuff, dolls, Knick- knacks) so if your looking for mod cons and clean lines, this is not for you, it has an outside bathroom, but totally undercover from the front door, so you won’t get wet if it rains and sadly it did a lot during our stay, so we didn’t get to enjoy the area as much as we’d like. Kath and Dan were very welcoming
Friendly host and super helpful. The cottage is wonderful. Set in a different time period but functions perfectly. The grounds are also very nice and well maintained. Loved the Wekas and the cows next door.
Teapot Cottage was a great place to stay. It fitted our adult family of five comfortably and provided us a unique experience with a record player and classic board games and books for entertainment. The host Dan showed us over his property and pointed us in the right direction for river walks nearby. We were sorry to only be there for the one night.
A memorable place to stay, a great base for exploring the outdoors, with helpful and friendly hosts. The kids loved having a bath under the stars, and the cottage was well equipped with everything we needed.
Lovely host, made us feel very welcome & at home. Cottage very clean & tidy, lots of lovely touches, flannel sheets, hot water bottles. So appreciated. Enjoyed the 195O’s retro furnishings, old records & player. Kitchen had a great selection of condiments, Enjoyed starting our day sitting outside in the sun with a plunger coffee & watching the Weka. Thanks so much for a great stay. will be back in Summer.
