Nice location that's about all
On arrival the staffeta was very helpful and got us into a room since we arrived before check in. The best part of this hotel is the staff the building is run down and the rooms need a major reno there is turf in the hallways on every floor. The wash rooms look and operate like their from the stone age. Staff areally great building terrible.

Nice budget hotel
The room was good enough for a night stay but the noise from a neighboring room echoed along the corridor and can be heard clearly even past midnight. It is due to inconsiderate people who doesn't care about their kids. Probably can improve in the sound proofing and the air cond needs some repair. The flaps were broken, basically occupants can't direct the air flow.

Family Stay in Hanoi
Great location for us to discover Hanoi in a short time. We had a family room which was great but there was very little room to move or put any bags. Beds were quite hard too but the room was clean and the location great so it was Ok for us.

Located about 15 minutes walk to Hoan Kiem lake, in busy side street in Old Quarter. Hotel needs updating. Impressed by reception with lovely, friendly and very helpful English speaking ladies, including the porter and room service maid who refreshed our room promptly each day. Hotel has tour desk. We found the buffet breakfast adequate and good with hot Viet dishes – phor, rice porridge, spring rolls, sausages, meats, veg stir-fries, and for Western tastes – corn flakes, ham, salami, omelettes, or eggs to order, salad, breads, juices, milk and good strong Viet coffee. Different hot dishes each day which we all enjoyed. Good aircon in room which overlooks busy side street. Bath perhaps needs updating. Room has fridge and snacks to choose from. Quiet room.

Well-located budgetable hotel with nice staff
We were three 25+ travelers who stayed in this hotel for 4days3nights. Our stay was pleasant with extremely friendly staff. Although the hotel/room interior may look a little bit old, all in all is a comfortable experience. Breakfast is good with Vietnamese noodles and different cooking of egg e.g scramble/boiled/sunny side up etc. Tour pick-up time is unbeatable because we were the last so can have more time for breakfast/sleep.

Excellent service, big room, big toilet
Very nice staff esp. emma, henry and also lily. Emma recommended the best beef noodle. There were some problems with the room at first but they were efficient enough to fix it immediately. Located near everything at the old quarter. We'll definitely book this hotel again if ever i will visit hanoi again.

Nice hotel close to Ho Kiem Lake
I really enjoyed my stay at Hanoi Crystal Hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location was good just a few minutes from the lake.

Good Budget hotel.
Hotel is located in a Good neighbourhood which is right in the old quarter of Hanoi. Hotel breakfast is quite average. It could have been better. Very hospitable staff which makes the stay quite comfortable.

Hotel with small front porch for taxi to stop
First room is smelly (previous occupant may be a smoker). Second room door can not lock. Third room air-conditioning no control. What else if I continue don't have to rest.

Hotel near Old quater
The hotel provides good accommodation close to attractions. Rooms are simply furnished. Some rooms have a window into the yard, and so is guaranteed quiet night and not hear the noise from the street. Breakfast was good.

Great hotel. Very friendly staff. Great accommodations. Right in the middle of a lot of great things to do. The hotel helped my father and I arrange a few trips, one of which was a trip to Ha Long bay. Very easy to make things happen. They do all the work for you.

We came to this hotel with no high expectations and in a low spirits cause of tiring, so when the staffs here bid us a welcome, we just knew that we were at the right place. This is the right place to be, because you will be taken care of, in a way, you didn't think was possible. If you want guidance, they will help. So when you go to Vietnam and visit Hanoi, go see the old part of Hanoi and stay at this extraordinary and awesome place, so you get a good first-timer experience. Moreover, you can also find very cheap price of tours, the salesperson will help you to decide, select a good tour, suit to your needs. Receptionist will be a great help during your stay, They will recommend the places around old quarter in Hanoi, where to shop, where to visit.

Great staff, Location and buffet
The restaurant serves delicious food so the breakfast is great, providing a buffet and menu choices. The staff are super friendly and helpful, they let me have a room for a shower before I went to get the night train. They suggested this to me which I thought was very kind. And on my return from Sapa they upgraded my room for my final night. It's a perfect place to walk right out the front door and instantly be amongst the hustle and bustle. Great starting point for all exploring. Definitely recommend!!

Good location but old hotel
Hotel is at a good location and staffs are friendly, but the room is not as "new" as described in photo, everything is quite old or used. We only got a bed sheet to cover as night, there was a old stained blanket in the closet. You can hear the talking on the hallway, and there was a lady who accidentally opened my room door with her room key. Then again, u get what u pay for. Breakfast selection was good.

Don't expect much for just USD26/night.
Inconvenient to unload luggage because entrance to the 'lobby' is right in front of a small busy street. Room is not thoroughly clean. No complimentary bottle water in room as mentioned in the facility but you can top up own water bottle from the water dispenser in restaurant at basement.

Soon as i got to hotel the staff rushed to help me with my bags, checked me in with no time and then gave me some tourists information. Really authentic will be returning!

Nice location in old Quarter in Ha NOi
Staffs are friendly and helpful. Location is about 500m from the lake and everything is within walk distance. Highly recommended

Comfortable stay
Room was good (comfortable, clean and quiet) it was very important to us after long trip from Sapa. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful, especially the reception man, who was so attentive to reach any need during our stay. Breakfast was nice with many vietnamese choice. Loved to stay at this hotel!

Hotel location was good, room was comfortable, breakfast was nice! I was deeply impressed by hotel staff, they were so attentive, friendly and helpful. Front desk, Robert was helpful in arranging on ward bus tickets during the oh so busy Tet migration.. The deluxe room with balcony was fun to watch the madness below. The room was OK. Breakfast was the usual ho hum. Location was good.

Great place!
My wife and I stayed here for our first trip in VietNam,and it was wonderful.When we arrived,bell man greeted us and took our bags.Our room had some fruite and juice set out for us,which was a nice touch.The room was clean and the bathroom was updated and very nice!The hotel located in Old Quater.The breakfast was very good,and the eating area is lovely.Would definitely recommend!

Short nice stay!
We spent just one night but it was lovely stay. We were welcomed by all staffs who were so fiendly and helpful. Hotel director gave us free upgrading to Deluxe room (booked superior one) in 5th floor with city view. That was great. Reception man helped us to rent a motobike with a map of city and valued recommendations. We loved this hotel!

Listed as new hotel - certainly not!!!
Listed as new hotel, it may have a new name, but it is not new. Furniture at least 20 years old, bathroom probably older. The bathroom was dirty the bedroom floor hasn't been washed in a long time - instant black feet if you walk around barefoot as I found out. Bedding is a bit newer as was okay, but towels were as old as the bathroom.

There was some miscommunication that our booking of the hotel was not processed and the hotel was fully occupied. The manager, Thomas, made arrangement for us to stay in another hotel nearby. A bell boy helped us to take our luggage to the hotel and brought them back to Hanoi Crystal Hotel the next day.

Lovely Place
Lovely staff, extremely professional and courteous, even remembered my name and greeted me whenever I walk by. The actual furnishings are great it's only the building that obviously old and therefore worn. Airport transfer is very cheap and efficient as well. Overall great stay.

Moved to this hotel after spending 5 days at another lessor establishment. Well located on the edge of the old quarter. Staff exceptionally warm & welcoming and tried very hard to accommodate our every need. eg. Aircon failed within short time of our arrival, upon report the staff arranged for a tech to attend immediately & it didn't miss a beat from there on. My partner was quite unwell and the staff were very understanding and even attended pharmacy with me to assist with interpreting medication needs. Hotel is in the throws of a refurb and to be renamed shortly. There was however no disruption to our stay, noise at a minimum and all very well done. Ms Snow and Mr Wall in particular were super. Would happily return and hope with the refurb their rates do not become prohibitive.....

I stayed in New Star hotel for 1 night before planing to Halong bay. The staff made my stay is comfortable. All of them speak English very well. The manager (Thomas) help us to book 2 night on boat with Glory cruise with better price from agents. The room is not big but good amenity, clean. Breakfast is delicious gives me a lot of options. If you come to Hanoi, it is the best place to stay.

旧市街の散策には便利
旧市街の散策には便利な場所にあります。スーパーマーケットも近いので買い物も便利です。また、空港とハノイ駅を結んでいる86番のバス停にも近くて、帰りの荷物が多少多くても大丈夫です。バス停までホテルのスタッフがガラガラとバス停まで運んでくれました。ホテルからほんの2,3分ですから。お土産を買いにＢＩＧ　Ｃまで行きましたが、ここのバス停を通るので楽でした。ホアンキエム湖も近くです。 困ったのはお湯の量がすくなくて、ちょろちょろしか出ないのでバスタブに貯めるのに、1時間以上かかりました。洗面所も流しに栓がないので、顔を洗うのに水、お湯をためて洗うことができませんでした。ハノイは今回で4回目の旅でしたが、風呂と洗面に苦労したのは今回が初めてです。アメニティは普通に用意されています。朝食は、種類は少ないですが、フォー、サニーサイドアップ等、注文できるメニューもあります。野菜類が少ないですね。

料金以上のサービスです　　フロントの対応もいいですね　朝食もＯＫです　 ホテル自体も客室もとても古いでした。日本語は少し通じました。
