10 minutes walk to train station, 25 minutes with train to the city is perfect,McDonald’s n Burger King just near by, penny is few minutes from property.

The shower was fantastic. The place was reasonably good value for money. We liked that it had a fridge, other places in Europe that cost more did not (which was really annoying). There were good shops nearby - supermarket and food. Good access to the centre of Hamburg via rail, not far to the station. Security good. We did not like three things. The washbasin in the bathroom was clogged up but they did not fix it. We saw a silverfish in the bathroom. The room had a verandah but one was not allowed to us it. Overall though we were reasonably happy with it.

What was good: Reasonable price for Hamburg. Clean room. Good bed. Staff was nice. Nice 10+ minute walk to the U2 station. Once you got off the main road the hotel was on, the residential neighborhood seemed nice too. Found a nice pastry shop. What wasn't so good: Most overseas flights like ours arrive in the morning. So when we arrived we couldn't check in until 4pm (room cleaning we found starts around 9am, so I don't know why a room would not be available) and wanted rest a bit and freshen up before going off to my conference at Messehalen. So I saw business partners unshaven and feeling a bit travel worn. Staff at least let us store our bags next to the bar. The hotel sits next to a busy gas station and some sort of clinic. Our room on the seventh floor when we finally were able to get into our room needed some air, so we opened a window. We wondered why it smelled like fried fast food, so I looked outside to discover a Burger King down below. Construction workers were drilling on the floor above starting at 8am Weds and Thursday. Couple next door on Thursday morning had a half hour long screaming fight with body slamming into our shared wall - no police arrived however. No one cleaned the elevator from the construction dust, so I had to be careful not to brush up against the walls in my business/dinner clothes. Had to borrow a french press and buy coffee from a store in town so we could have coffee before heading out in the mornings.

Decent place, lousy staff
The lady at the front desk seemed approachable when we first checked in, that was about the only time. A few hours after checking in we asked her to print something for us. She scoffed and complained how she didn't have time for that but insisted on doing it anyways. She easily could have said no, and I wouldn't have thought much of it. The hotel was okay, rooms kind of depressing, clean for the most part but under the sink looked like some light poop stains. Shared balcony made us a little uneasy as anyone else staying there had access to our room if the window was open.

Apartments located near big street, noise at night only tolerable with closed windows, which is not nice due to lack of ventilation. Advertises high speed internet, but then has a measly 150mb/day limit.

Far away from .....
1- No phone in the room. 2- No staff in case of emergency. 3- No wifi. 4- No lobby. 5- Far away from everything. 6- Construction noise at all time. 7- Not ready for international travelers ( TV channels all Germany's) And many more that won't fit in this box.

Nice hotel wish it had wifi instead of LAN
Nice hotel that is close to the station, only complaint is there is no wifi. The room only has LAN and you need to send sms to cell phone to receive login.

Overall nice place to stay, apart from internet
Overall a nice place to stay. The only down side is the internet, they only have LAN (no wifi). Also, in order to connect to internet you need them to send you a sms with passcode. Each passcode does not last very long.
