It was dirty and dingy. Curtains were make- shift sheets. Refrigerator was filty. There were NO utensils, plates, bowls, cups, or glasses. No coffee maker.One towel in the bathroom. No extras hand towels or wash clothes. Dirty shower and curtain. Property was a mess. Parking was unsafe. Neighborhood was run down. Poor communication with host. It looks nothing like the pictures shown on the advertisement. We actually left and found a hotel.

Great location
We especially loved having the bikes available to us to ride on the bike path from Sunset Beach to Waimea Bay! Also loved walking to beach at sunset and watching the surfers. Close to the bakery and a grocery store not too far away. Appreciated the blender and freezer. TV available for the evening time. Easy check in and check out. Mahalo!

Cute but expensive.
This little studio is cute. It is about a 5-10 minute walk to the beach. It is a basement studio. It met the minimum expectations. Had coffee filters, and a little coffee pot but no coffee. We only stayed here one night. Vrbo really jacks up the price with taxes, fees and cleaning fees.

A great town to stay in
My partner and I enjoyed the stay for our first trip to the islands. Over all this place is not a bad stay considering it’s very close to some really cool North Shore beaches. I made the mistake of reading the reviews right before checking in and feared we would have to deal with a lot of bugs. Truthfully it wasn’t that bad, a few spiders and we only saw one little roach. We could tell the space was cleaned prior to our stay, so it didn’t bother us that much. Yes you can hear people upstairs but that’s typical for a shared space. The host responded in a timely manner, check in was easy and the bed was comfy! If you are staying, eat at Ted’s Bakery for bfast, very delish!

We just need a place to stay after exploring all day. The bed was comfortable. A coffee pot & microwave were all we used. The shower was a little snug for my 6’ husband but he managed. The location was great!

Sweet Paradise 🌺
Vanessa and her beautiful family have the sweetest place to offer guests. Super short walk to another gorgeous beach in the north shore. She is super helpful and friendly. I forgot my phone charger and there was one on the bed waiting for me when we checked in❤️ BTW the bed is super comfortable. We loved it so much we wanted to stay a second night and she helped make that happen. Squeaky clean studio:) Very peaceful place to vacation. We will DEFINITELY stay again when we return to the island. Mahalo

Epic location
A great no frills base to explore the north shore from. The room is small but is tidy and located 5min walk from Sunset beach and V-land. You spend the vast majority of your time outdoors here so the room size isn’t an issue. Vanessa is a great host! Easy to talk to and relaxed. If you are looking for a laid back and centrally located place to enjoy the surf from, this is it!

Not Clean pt 2
To start communication about the property was great, location was great, but that's about it. Like the review below 1/17/24, this property had resident roaches and spiders. I know being a local girl there are bugs but, there are always several ways to minimize them and/or get rid of them! Upon checking in my husband saw spiders in the corners in bathroom but we chalked it up and walked down to the beach. Upon returning from the beach we noticed the roaches...not just one but several...on the counters and floors. We also noticed milk in the fridge as though someone left it there and the unit wasn't cleaned thoroughly...then as soon as we were done packing up all our stuff bc we didn't want the roaches to get in our bags and didn't want to drive back home in the middle of the night....we laid in the bed and all we could hear were kids running back and forth, back and forth..... I landed up working throughout the night as I was nervous to try and sleep with spiders and roaches....but as soon as the we heard the kids running around again in the morning at sunrise 715am...we left! I even rescheduled my conf call bc we didn't want to be there any longer. I didn't let the owner know as I'm not confrontational but I am disappointed. It was a lot of $ for one night..next time we will try a resort...prob won't have bugs or hear kids running around. It would have also helped to have in the description that this studio is below their home...

Not Clean
We checked in late and put our fruit we had purchased on the counter. Within minutes there were 3 cockroaches on it. More cockroaches were found in the cabinets. We understand the Hawaii and the tropics, but this was a bit much. However we brushed it off for the time being as it was late. I then noticed a number of spiderwebs throughout the corners, plants, and ceiling, with spiders in them. I decided to take a shower and found the body wash filled with Dawn Dish detergent. We found the place not clean enough to spend even one night. Especially with roaches feasting on our fruit within arms reach. The host did find us another place to stay but we declined.
