I had a great stay here. I found everything to be as described. There is a storage shed on property with various beach things like chairs, toys and boards to borrow. It was sufficient for myself and my needs. Thank you
Very cosy place with a big bathroom, a comfortable bed, and two terraces overlooking a quiet, peaceful garden. There is also a fully equipped gas barbecue in the garden.
The studio was as described...basic, but very clean and check in process was easy. We were out most of the day so it was a nice place to lay our heads down at the end of a long day.
Liked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities, communication
Was a very short stay. Basically a place to lay my head once getting to the island from the air port. Nice and quiet. Had everything we needed. Would stay again.
Nice apartment in quiet residential area. AC worked well. Short drive to restaurants, grocery and several beaches. A small check in issue was quickly redolved by staff. They were excellent to work with.
The location was amazing. Floyd was very responsive when i called as the automated system didnt send the check-in codes. Super friendly and dropped everything to help. The building was older but relatively clean. Could use a good dusting in all the nooks and crannies. Really great to stay in for our trip up to Haleakala!

Could use a deep clean
This would be a perfect place but needs a deep clean, some fresh paint and some up dates. The neighborhood is quiet. Mo was so nice and responded to my call the day of check in at 7 am when I had not received check in instructions. More direction on parking would be helpful. If the u it had a sink along the kitchenette or a deeper bathroom sink, that would be helpful for making coffee and washing dishes. Overall our stay was great.
The sliding doors to the decks were "interesting." They need work. Otherwise, the communication with the owner was excellent. And the space was funky-cool. The Thai food truck in nearby Haiku was a revelation.

We loved our stay
The main page listing says check in is at 3pm, but a separate message states 4pm and the door code is sent at the last minute. The direction link/address tries to take you to Ahonui Pl but it’s the next street and the units can be sort of confusing between 64 and 66. However, the hosts are great and help you figure it all out. Otherwise the location and amenities were PERFECT! We loved our stay.
The place was large, clean and well located in a quiet town near the airport. We had a surprise though with no sink in the kitchen, only in the bathroom, with the small fridge, and with the table for 2 while we were 4. A toaster would have been nice, and be aware that there is no oven, just 2 induction rounds. This being said, I would certainly recommend this place for a low budget lodging versus what you get in return. Thanks.
The property was comfortable, clean and spacious. Floyd was a responsive and very helpful host. Despite his recommendation in his email instructions to print out check-in materials ahead of time (which I did) I proceeded to leave the printouts on my xerox machine at home :( As he mentioned in his email note, the wifi is spotty in Haiku so I initially couldn't download the code to enter. I messaged him and he immediately answered was very helpful, friendly, and welcoming of my call even though it was late at night. I appreciated his attentiveness and concern for my safety. The surroundings are tranquil and quiet. I highly recommend this property!
Cons: 1. Foul smell combination of the cheap airfreshener and stale old furniture, and who knows what. 2. Hot. The fan and old A/C do not cool down enough for comfort. 3. Dirty. The whole unit 6 needs deep cleaning. The cheap awful polyester sheets are completely worn out and need to be replaced ( permanent stains, balled up and scratchy). 4. Outdated and in need of repairs. One of 2 sliding doors does not easily open and the screen falls down of the rails. I saw a couple of reviews mentioning Unit 6 sliding door issues. Clearly nothing was done about it. When messaged properly manager about it, they said “ probably just jammed”. No, not just jammed, needs repair or replacement. 5. No sink in Kitchenette (weird), no toaster. Anoles running around in the kitchen ( no way to get them out, they get in under the entry door). Bugs in bathtub.
Pros: 1. Location. Close to Road to Hana. 2. Quiet neighborhood. 3. Free on site parking. 4. Easy check in and check out. 5. Quick response from property manager and owner. 6.Lots of windows including two balconies. Lots of light and good view.
Overall experience: Would not stay again. Seemingly reasonable price proved to be way too high for what it is. The owner seems to have a set of requests and rulles for guests to follow. But fails to deliver the basics like decent sheets.
We wanted to see a new part of the island than we usually stay at and so extended our trip by a few days and stayed here on the northern side of the island. It's quieter, relaxed but close enough to Kahului to easily go to dinner.
This place is perfect if you want to stay somewhere close for the Road to Hana drive. Paia is a charming town down the street with plenty of delicious food options and beautiful beaches. The place looked exactly like the photos. It was so nice at the beginning and end of the day to go into the clean jacuzzi and soak. The yard was clean and tropical. Sitting on the balcony in the morning drinking coffee with beautiful views and the sounds of birds was perfect. The host was always available if we had a question. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here after flying into Kahului and before heading to Haleakalā NP the next morning. We didn’t stay long but the room fit our needs perfectly. It was a little warm in the room when we arrived but we were able to cool it down quickly when we got the AC going.
