Women Retreat

Its was nice and roomy and the ladies enjoyed themselves. The only setback was stove needs updating all eyes didn’t work so cooking for 20 people was a challenge but overall it was nice Thank You Sister’s of Hope

Lives Up to the name!

The place was great. The rooms were very spacious and each had their own bathroom, which was a perk. The beach was idyllic-the sand is like white powder, the water was clear and warm, and there were dolphin sitings every day. The living area was big and roomy. The place is perfect for a big group like ours was. It was also a bonus to have pools access in the neighborhood.

Family vacay

The positives of this property are the fantastic location, cleanliness upon arrival, layout of the house, good communication with property mgrs, but the owners need to update the bathrooms and spend some time on repairs and mainteance. The price per night is not reflected in the quality of mattresses or the state of the outside decking. However i gave the rating a 4 because the location is definitely the biggest plus. Kitchen was well stocked with appliances and family room had lots of couches for lounging which was perfect for our group.

Family vacation

The layout of this home is amazing. It is a little dated and in need of some upgrades but overall it is great. A few more comforts such as blankets and beach chairs would be nice. Stop at the grocery store before you head to the house. There are NO extras or supplies. Including toilet paper or trash bags (1 for each bathroom only) The location is awesome and the sunrises and sunsets are incredible.

Needs a little help…

Place wasn’t very clean when we checked in. Floors dirty, mold in showers, dirty kitchen gear including a moldy kurig. The ice maker is awesome, the lift is great, water heater is a beast. Everything else worked, mostly. Ovens seemed to run about 50 degrees cold to settings. Place is showing its age although noting is a deal breaker. Location is spectacular for a large family intersted in spending time together. I would book this again. Y Thanks Harris for a great vacation!

Summer vacation

We were very happy with the property. Would definitely stay there again. Pleasantly surprised there was a large ice machine in laundry room! We never ran out of ice which is a plus.

Perfect getaway

Brainstopper is a great house with a perfect location to rest and get away from the city. The beach is steps away with wonderful white, soft sand. Amazing sunrises and sunsets. Each bedroom with it's own bathroom is a huge bonus. We appreciated the 3 refrigerators and the free standing ice maker in the house. We were, however, disappointed in the kitchen appliances. We planned on cooking most of our meals for a 5 day family reunion, including Thanksgiving. The stove/oven needs replaced and is barely functional. The wall oven turns on, but does not work. Would not recommend staying here if you plan on cooking unless the kitchen is updated with working appliances. The house is in need of some TLC --paint, etc. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in this vrbo very much, but would only rebook here if the appliances were replaced as the restaurants are at least 15 min drive away.

Views were beautiful. Locations was awesome. House really needs attention.

We spent the first night cleaning the house. Kitchen and bathrooms mostly. Dirty dishes and sinks. Floors leave your feet black. We had two infants so this had to be addressed. Management company did provide some dinner vouchers for the cleanliness issue. House needs lots of attention. Old and rusted appliances and stained dirty furniture. One of the mattress pads and a couch pillow were both blood stained upon arrival. About all it’s got going for it is it’s location and size. Beds were comfortable. Honestly for amount we paid i expected a clean well maintained house. We had a good time, just spent to much time cleaning so we could relax.

Seems tired

The house was the perfect size for our family with room to spare. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware and servieware. This could be an amazing house with a little TLC and some paint and a few updates. One big change is a big tv in family room especially needed during college football season. Otherwise we had a great visit.

Great family trip!

We had an amazing family trip for Fall Break. There were seven adults and five young children, and the place was perfect with tons of room to spare. Nice and quiet beach literally just down the steps. Open floor plan for hanging out on the kitchen/living area without feeling cramped. Elevator that makes it so easy to get luggage up to the third floor. The large ice maker is a great touch. Gas grill on the back porch. If you like crowded high rises with tons of restaurants and nightlife in close proximity, this isn’t your place. If you like a huge private beach house on a quiet beach, this is your place! There are a couple restaurants close by, but we did have to drive a little ways to get to a major grocery store or restaurant scene. We loved everything about it and plan on making a return trip! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Great Stay!

Our family had a great week in this home. We had 8 families and there was plenty of room for everyone. The number of bathrooms and refrigerators was also a huge plus. The ice maker was not operable, which would have been nice, however that would have been the only negative. I would recommend this home to anyone with a big family!

Thanksgiving Family Reunion: Texas, North Carolina, Georgia, Louisiana

This is our fifth year having a Family Reunion, but our FIRST year at Brainstopper. 7 Families. Every one happy having large beautiful bedrooms with private bathroom. What was so different about this spot was how the owners opened their home up to us, by having every thing we needed in the kitchen. Beautiful personal pictures of family through the home, with beautiful decorative furniture. It was a relaxing sitting out on the beach, using the easy access to beach, or just on the large open porch. Weather was windy but warm, the children really enjoyed the beach, and their own play room (using the buck bed room). Only one member of the family stayed cold but was very happy sitting by the beautiful fire place most of the visit.

Great house!

I stayed here with my husband and our 2 children. We also brought both sets of grandparents with us. We loved that each bedroom had its own bath. My kids loved the bunk beds. The Kitchen was perfect for us. The elevator made it so easy to bring our things in and out and for my mom to get around easily. The beach was beautiful. Not crowded at all even though we stayed during a busy season. We love Morgantown and have been 'trying out' several properties and have been staying in this area for many years. We loved Brainstopper. It is by far our favorite property that we have stayed in. We will be back for sure!

Great House for our family reunion

This house is very spacious and well appointed. We were 4 families staying in this house and had room to spare. Each bedroom has own private bath. Easy access to the beach from front porch. 2 dishwashers, 3 refrigerators, commercial size ice maker, gas grill--they have thought of everything.
