You will have a wood-burning fireplace, binoculars to get a closer look at the ocean, and a full kitchen. Privately situated on the cliffs of Gualala, you will instantly feel at peace and at home.

This home is within close walking distance of the Bonham Trail to Cooks Beach. Gualala, a little over two miles away, offers shops, galleries, and restaurants. Hike Gualala Bluff Trail or spend the day golfing at the Sea Ranch Golf Links. The Point Area Lighthouse is 11.5 miles north and well worth the trip!

Beautiful home, beautiful views

We loved the spacious home and the fantastic views. With the windows open, it was so peaceful to fall asleep and wake up to the sound of the ocean. Ugh! We loved it and hated having to come back to our regular lives!

Although the views and privacy were excellent, the property itself is in need of care and attention to many details. This is not a luxury or high end property, but has high end pricing.

What a view!

The views in this rental home are wonderful! So serene. As far as this home itself, it is a great layout for a couple with views from both bedrooms. The home has nice granite counters throughout. There is highway noise, but it is often covered up by the sound of the waves from the sea. It is disappointing that after so many reviewers have complained about the current shape that the home is in, stained carpet, cabinet doors missing, etc., nothing has been improved in years. I would love to return to this home if the owners make improvements. But until then I would not recommend this home to a friend or family.

Amazing views, house needs work

My husband and I have been going to the Beach House (as it was once known) for many years and have many great memories there. Same quiet, private setting and those amazing views. It used to be so well kept but sadly the house has seen much wear and tear over the years - many things that could and should be repaired or replaced especially given the cost to stay there. It definitely takes away from the whole experience. I had recommended it to friends in the past, but wouldn't do so again, and it's unlikely I would stay there again.

Beautiful location and beautiful home

Pros: - Amazing location - Beautiful home with a deck that wraps around the backside of the home. - Hot tub - Clean - Comfortable furniture Cons: - Microwave doesn't work most of the time (seems like the motor is dying) - While front of the house has beautiful massive windows, it really should have shades. I don't like at night that everyone driving by can see inside the home, and during the day, the sun significantly heats the house. Shades on those windows would be fantastic.

Stunning from every room

The pictures of this property, while lovely, don't begin the capture its grandeur. We were stunned to open the door and feel as though we were already on the beach. The layout of the home ensures privacy and exceptional views from both bedrooms. The property is situated on a large lot, creating incredible privacy and serenity. The large back patio area provides ample opportunities to gaze out at crashing waves by day and shining constellations by night. The large back porch provides multiple options for enjoying the vibes, from the hot tub overlooking the water, with towels thoughtfully provided, to a dining set and chaise lounge. We were grateful for the grill and kitchen gear that made cooking from home easy (we didn't want to leave for meals!). One thing to note is we didn't actually find a trail to Cook's Beach. While it's close, walking on the narrow road is dangerous. So, as long as you're driving, go North to Anchor Bay, which is larger and safer, but just as peaceful and gorgeous, as Cook's. Also try to check out the Gualala Arts Center, which has indoor and outdoor exhibits plus lush trails that feel right out if Jurrasic Park. We absolutely cannot wait to return - the experience was worth every dime and we have now, unfortunately, been totally ruined for all other beach houses after experiencing the peace and beauty of Cliff House!

Spectacular Location

This house is located in a beautiful part of the Northern California coast. The views are absolutely spectacular. There is lots of glass that allow the house to fill with light. We really enjoyed just hanging out on the deck and made full use of the hot tub. At night you can see the stars from bed, it is amazing. This place has so many magical qualities, it is sad to report that the house itself needs quite a bit of work. The two main bathrooms have suffered major water damage, which is gross. The smaller bathroom has molding held together with painter’s blue tape. The floors in the main area are heavily damaged and need to be refinished. The deck and fencing are rotting. The kitchen cooktop does not have the correct grills, so pots don’t sit level. The kitchen is missing a handful of basic utensils, and the microwave was broken. The front door combo doesn’t always work. We spent a lot of time just trying to get into the house. This is such a special house it was sad to see that so many things that have been neglected.

Beautiful Home Beautiful View

Loved that the great room and both bedrooms had floor to ceiling windows that looked out to the ocean. Positively gorgeous! We have stayed in a lot of homes but this was incredible. Will definitely be coming back.

Great location. Nice home but...The landscape itself needs some attention overgrown, walkways overgrown. The home can use some attention as well. Alot of mold in the bathroom adjacent to the King room, drawer missing, door missing. Hot tub could use safety railing, all sliders need cleaned much debris in tracks. Ants seem to be making their way in through the dishwasher.

This place is really a great location. Ocean views, great weather and good layout of the home. However, so much maintenance needs to be done on this place. The barbecue was so rested it took us a long time to clean it, we received a call that there was no Heating but a nice fireplace and space heaters. No kindling for the fireplace and we burned everything paper and was still unable to get it going. We still had a good time to spite it all. So many burned out bulbs and the kitchen definitely needs more supplies, such as foil, plastic bags or Saran Wrap at the least. Anyway we still had fun despite it all.

View is outstanding! One of the bathrooms is in poor shape with tub peeling and the bed has major sagging. It sounds like there are mice in the walls or in the ducts. Kitchen is in good shape.

The views were as advertised. Spectacular. The Jacuzzi was in fine working order. Bathrooms were clean. The biggest negative was the second bedroom bed was not suitable for 2 people as the mattress was too soft and caved into the middle when 2 people tried to sleep. It was only usable for 1 person, the the other person had to use the couch. Jody from the management company was very responsive to our request to bring a starter for the stove and bbq.

Location, location, location

If you want an incredible view, high ceilings, and a hot tub, this is the place! It was spacious and clean. No, the house isn't ready for an Architectural Digest photo shoot - but that isn't its purpose. It is a vacation rental. So, there are some aesthetics that could be improved but the main thing is that it is functional. And the views are stunning. The deck is huge, and the hot tub was clean and enjoyable. The beds were comfortable and just right (not too firm, not too hard). I have made just a few suggestions to the property management. I would probably give it a 4.5 since there were a few things that need to be fixed. But we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Cliff House in Gualala
