Grand Chalet Boisé Authentique, Vue sur les Alpes

This large, century-old all-wood chalet is nestled in the heart of the Vaud Alps. Spread over three floors, it combines rustic charm with modern comfort. Perfect for families or groups of up to 9 people, it offers spectacular mountain views from its balconies and garden. A piano, a fireplace, an outdoor dining area, a library, and a warm, inviting atmosphere make this the ideal retreat to recharge your batteries any time of year.

On the first floor, you’ll find a double bedroom, a bathroom with a shower, a fully equipped kitchen, a bright dining area, and a cozy living room with a fireplace and piano. Upstairs, the space includes two double bedrooms, a bedroom with a single bed and a workspace, as well as a children’s bedroom with a bunk bed. All of them, except for the children’s bedroom, open onto a long shared balcony offering breathtaking views. A bathroom with a tub-shower combination under the eaves—featuring exposed beams and rustic charm—as well as a separate toilet complete the upper level. The chalet’s warm, wood-paneled atmosphere makes it an authentic and soothing place to stay.

There are no additional fees to expect other than the tourist tax, which is to be paid after the reservation is finalized. The tourist tax, collected by Swiss municipalities, applies to all stays within Switzerland. It helps fund the cultural, tourist, and sports facilities that enhance your stay.

If you’re arriving by public transportation, take a train to “Villars-sur-Ollon, Gare.” From the station, follow the main road uphill for about 300 meters until you see two wooden signs on your left, across the tracks, marked “Chalet Les Noisettes” and “Chalet Valérie .” Cross the tracks and walk up the steep slope. At the top, turn right and walk along the fence on your right. Continue until you see another wooden fence on your left. Follow this fence along the gravel path to the garden of the first chalet on the right. Cross the garden to reach the main entrance, located on the opposite side from where you arrived.

If you’re arriving by car: Once you’ve parked your car, go to the other side of the wooden shelter you came through. You’ll see a sign that says “Chalet Valérie”: follow the downward-pointing arrow. Continue along this path until you reach the lower part of the house, beneath the balcony.
