"The communication from the host was fantastic. We didnt initially receive our check in details, but Freya responded straight away when we contacted her and remained helpful and communicative throughout our stay. The listing mentions parking on site, however this is street parking and is time restricted unless you have a permit. Freya kindly purchased a parking pass for us as a gesture after the check in issue, which we appreciated. We weren’t able to park directly outside the apartment itself, so there was a short walk to the accommodation. The accommodation was clean, tidy, and appeared recently renovated. However, there was quite a noticeable damp/musty smell during our stay. The layout also wasn’t to our personal preference, with the bedroom in the entrance room with the front door and the bathroom at the opposite end of the apartment through the kitchen/living area. On a positive note, the location is within walking distance of the quays, which was convenient. I dont think we would personally stay again, but that comes down more to our own preferences at this price point. We have stayed in luxury serviced apartments in central Cheltenham for the same nightly rate, which suited us better. That said, this property may work well for guests visiting for work or short events who want easy access to the area."

"Set right in the centre of the City, a great place to stay. The floors are wonky, but then after 500 years that's to be expected and it has great character. Second time I've stayed there. It's so convenient and full of history. Love it."

"A truly impeccable apartment which was very well presented, secure, and surprisingly quiet for being in such a vibrant location. Will 100% return. "

"We checked that we could get an accessible room before making the booking. We also stated our requirements on the booking form. The request was on the system but unfortunately not fulfilled. We were told if we didn’t accept the room, we would not be refunded (even though the hotel had admitted fault). We were then taken outside (in the rain), to go through the bar, restaurant and many doors before reaching our room. The rooms are extremely outdated, with no air conditioning and the radiator being on, with no means to turn it off. The tiny gap in the open window did nothing to help the situation. Accessibility for wheelchair users is ridiculous. I can honestly say it is one of the worst, disorganised places we have ever had the misfortune to stay at "

"Mattress and pillows were the worst part about the stay, the mattress was thin and compressed so hard it was impossible to sleep on the side as it was like sleeping on the bed base. Pillows were either hard and lumpy or no substance to them. I’ve left with very little sleep and bad neck and back. On arrival the WiFi was down and the lift didn’t work. Bathroom smelt of urine so strong I was avoiding using it. The carpet was sticky and thread bare in places. General cleanliness and condition of the room left a lot to be desired. There was a power cut during my stay, not the hotel’s fault, but no emergency lighting in the bedrooms. Which meant being sat in the dark for hours, there was lighting in the corridors, this should be expected in the rooms too for safe navigation to the bathroom."

"No complaints at all about the property it was spotless and in a perfect location. Parking was secure and well organised. Our only compliant is that we checked out over a week ago and have still not received a refund of the deposit by bank transfer as promised even though we were informed it was being paid. We stay in a lot of holiday lets with refundable deposits and have never had to use a bank transfer system before. Using a credit card guarantee is in our view far better as bank transfers are cumbersome and cause extra work for both parties."
