「Room was large and clean with a bath and shower. The hotel is in a beautiful village next to the river and many lovely walks. Evening meal was excellent, as was breakfast. All the staff were great with Naomi going above and beyond.」

「This is the second time we've stayed at the Mason Freehouse, it was lovely the first time we stayed, which made us keen to return. Although it is now under new management, it's clear that the lovely, friendly, warm welcoming atmosphere is something the staff are keen to retain. 「Beautiful old building and neat gardens, staff helpful and attentive even though few of them. Excellent food, veggie available on each menu. Comfortable rooms, nice toiletries, big bath, plenty hot drink makings. Lovely and peaceful.」

「The food was the main attraction, it was delicious. The staff were great and welcoming. The only niggle was the force of the hot water from the hot tap and the shower head. It was just a trickle from both.」

「Just enjoyed an excellent 2 night stay at The Royal. Booked on recommendations from friends. Set right in the middle of KL, so fantastic location. No carpark, but we had no trouble parking as the general car parks to the front and rear of the hotel and ampld places to park overnight around the hotel. We did have to be mindful of moving the car throughout the day, due to timecrestrictions on car parks and our visit was off peak in January. Not sure how easy parking would be throughout the rest of...

I cannot recommend it enough. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by hens and cats. We were then shown to our ‘living area’, bathroom and upstairs - a double bed and bunk beds. The hosts were so welcoming and helpful. There were so many extras included - books, binoculars, tea/coffee/hot chocolate/fresh...

We had to leave the hotel early next morning before kitchen opened but staff left us breakfast (cereals, yogurt etc) out for us which was really appreciated. Also made us sandwiches to take with us. Pub/bar and food was really good. Cosy. 」

Breakfast was included and we were asked beforehand what we wanted so it would be ready for the time we requested. And it tasted wonderful. Me and my girlfriend have visited here twice now and I'd greatly recommend a stay here.」
