"Gorgeous old hotel in a fabulous location, central Shrewsbury. Parking only £5 per day. Comfy bed, great shower. Rooms a little tired but would definitely stay at The Lion again!"

"We had the best 3 nights there, the house was exactly as was advertised and spotlessly clean. Dressing gowns, slippers, prosecco and biscuits are just some of the things there for us to relax and enjoy our stay there. We will definitely recommend there to all of our friends and book there again."

"Rooms were clean and staff were helpful. Had booked a room with a double bed. It was small - more three quarters size. Room was also small and the bathroom was tiny. Noise from other rooms adjacent (light switches being turned on) was more than you would expect, and when taps were run or toilets flushed in adjacent rooms it was very loud. Cooked breakfast was below par - ingredients seemed to be basic/cheap. Car parking is tight and easy for your car to be blocked in. No water supplied to drink in rooms and only 2 tea bags provided for a double room with 2 people staying. Not a terrible hotel but for £145 a night in Shrewsbury we expected more."
