Overall enjoyed the time at the Sun Rayes house. Very nice views from each angle of the house. Beds were all comfortable and shown just as in photos. Open concept floor plan was perfect for a family, holiday getaway. Extremely impressed with the channels provided through the dish network. Most rentals have base packages, this home seemed to have every available channel offered.
Negatives: arrived at house to discover the elevator was not in working order. House had been selected for this sole purpose since an elderly person and disabled person would be staying. This was very disappointing since those members had to be contained to the 1st floor only and couldn't go up and down the stairs to the lower level. (There is only outside access to get to the lower level game area - no internal staircase down to the bottom level.) Upon arrival, purchased Linen package was also not delivered and did not arrive until 7 pm. Arrival was day before Thanksgiving and offices were already closed at 4 pm check in time. Had to call the emergency line for assistance in these matters, and property management was extremely quick to respond and assist as best they could.
I take previous reviews with a grain of salt, but don't ignore the main level bathroom comments or the can opener comments. The bathroom does not flush properly in the main bath (which had been in reviews back in July 2021) - the females actually had to use different bathrooms within the house during the entire stay. The Kitchen stock really needs to be updated. Silverware is worse than dollar store quality. 2 seperate individuals had forks break while in their mouths and the can opener is beyond not working. Again, this part seems silly, but try making a Thanksgiving meal with 3 people, scissors, knives, and a pair of plyers to get a can open. (At least it will be a funny story for years to come).
Recommendation:
There should be some sort of guest binder at the house providing information for the stay. Examples would be, instructions on how to use elevator and fireplace. Also, trash information should be informed more clearly. There was only one trash can and was already half full upon arrival. We had to end up taking trash home with us due to not having extra cans available.
I hate sounding negative within the review, but there really could be some small things done within the house to make a much better experience.
