A beautiful winter's day at Dungeness. Situated on the South coast of England Dungeness has a very unusual landscape. The sandy beach is so level that the tide goes out by nearly a mile.

The world renown Pilot pub and restaurant serves a delicious locally caught selection of fish. A great place to wander amongst the old fishing boats or stroll along the miles of sandy beach.

The low cost was the main attraction. It is literally a room in someones house but we were made very welcome. Be prepared to take off your shoes on entry. I had been traveling for many hours so my feet were nit quits fresh. The bed is very comfortable. The pool and spa is 1.5 miles away in a leisure centre so we didn’t bother

The bar and eating facilities and the steam room, sauna and pool facilities were great. The staff, particularly in the restaurant were very friendly and warm and accommodating. The cleaning staff were meticulous. The hotel design and decor was amazing and its proximity to the tube was a plus.

Apartment was excellent, very clean with everything you could need. I would have given it 5 stars but unfortunately the mattress was too thin and I could feel the springs through it, so not very comfortable. A thicker more expensive mattress or at least a thick mattress topper. Would solve the issue. Central location in Staines Upon Thames, so super convenient. Would I stay here again, the answer is Yes.
