"‘This is not a hotel’ is the first thing the hostess told us when she first called. The villa indeed is their own home and this is made very clear during our stay. The hostess treated our kids as a strict schoolteacher and to top it all off at the end of the evening also yelled upstairs that we were playing with the heating, which we were not. In the Summer this place might be nicer with the outside pool but in the winter this would not be suitable for a family vacation. Price and quality do...

"Tout est très propre et entretenu .Le couchage parfait, de bonne qualité. Le service du petit déjeuner très complet. Quand à la maîtresse de maison, elle est très accueillante, gentille et de bons conseils. Nous avons passé un excellent week-end. "

"Attention L'hôte mentionnne sur le site que le petit dejeuner est offert Il n'en est rien on vous demandera un supplément de 15€ pour y avoir droit ,une fois que vous aurez réservé. Pas correct du tout ,il faut au moins enlever la mention " petit déjeuner offert " sur l'annonce "

"We loved our stay at Effect Lodge. Our room overlooked the back side of the property, including the pool. Great views and an open feel in our large room. The host was so gracious and helpful. She recommended public transportation for our visit to Old Lyon, and it worked out perfectly. She also provided direction in getting our laundry taken care of. In many ways, staying at Effect felt like being at home. Highly recommend this property!"

"The reviews online rave about the very nice rooms. The reviews and hotel info do not make clear that arriving with a car is very difficult logistically. The hotel boat is moored where there is only a pedestrian footpath. There is no where close by to drop the bags for easy access, many meters from where cars are allowed. There are no actual staff at the location, only virtual staff who cannot help with the luggage drop or movement. You get parking recommendations only after the cancel window...
