"There was only one hand towel and one wash cloth. Bathtub very slippery. Suggest safety strips and a safety rail. Bed was very comfortable. Room (508) had a bit of an odd smell. Staff so nice, so professional, so helpful. I did not dine in hotel. Room amenities good. I appreciated the robes, the full length mirror and the makeup mirror. Shower cap would be nice. Enjoyed my stay. 4 star for sure. Did not enjoy having to self park in garage across the street"

"I would avoid staying at this property if I could. I stayed two nights over memorial day weekend. On Saturday, my key never worked to get me into the property. Every time I went to the front desk for help, the attendant told me I must have touched something with the key that demagnetized it and offered no permanent solution. This alone would not be very notable if not for the fact that when I returned on Saturday night, their entire electronic key system was down. There were 40-50 people in the lobby around 9:30 p.m. and it was quite noisy. I asked the front desk attendant if she could let me into my room. She asked if I was checking in. I said, no I checked in the previous day and my things were in my room. Could she please help me? She said no. I said and waited an hour. I returned to the front desk and asked what I could expect. She told me to get another hotel. I said what about my things? She said, oh I thought you wanted to check in. I can get you in with my master key. Upon checkout, I explained everything that happened and asked the hotel to comp my stay. They refused and blamed the night attendant for being a new employee, which seemed inaccurate and unfair to me. This hotel is not responsive to the needs of its guests. You can find better places to stay in Des Moines."

"We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of this property! It was clean, staff was friendly, bed was comfortable, we felt safe, and it was quiet enough for our taste. It was a basic hotel with basic amenities but you kind of know that going in. We thought it was great!"

"Overall, great stay. Staff was personable and excellent, food was great, sleep was comfortable. Only issue there was is during a big storm my window started leaking. I showed staff, staff told maintenance and asked him to see the video but he was annoyed by the thought and had no regard or care for it."
