"My huaband enjoyed every minute of hiking with our Labrador. The cabin was cozy and the views were fantastic. We will be back! There were a lot of ticks on the trails (nothing to do with the property), so anyone bringing a dog, make sure they are protected with something. The deck that goes around the cabin is amazing! You can be out even if its raining. The host answered all of our questions within minutes! Highly recommend!"

"This beautiful property was perfect for what we needed. Our son had a soccer tournament in Hickory with spaced out game times, rescheduled games due to weather, etc. The Blue Door Guesthouse was our comfortable oasis to relax and enjoy family time. The pool was great, even in May! The hosts are top knotch. Highly recommend!"

"We loved staying at this property. The kids have already asked to come back sometime during the summer. My siblings and I all grew up in Hickory. My Mom is still there. My brother came to stay with my Mom for a few days. My husband and I and our 6 children rented this place so that we could be close while my brother was in Hickory. "Husband and I went for a quick getaway. Everything was clean and convenient. The cats were so sweet and nice company to have while you sat on the balcony and looked at the lake. Fishing was extremely relaxing as well. They had board games for the rainy night we had and the kitchen was well stocked. Loved it and would definitely try to go again."
