"Very nice property. The lobby and general public areas are very clean and well maintained. The breakfast bar is excellent, changes daily along with staples. Only drawback we found on our stay was in our room, first glance room looked great, large and nice layout. We had a double queen, one of the bedspreads had stains on it, not appealing, the room chair also had a huge stain, not inviting to sit in. The closet door needed to have the slides repaired or replaced. In the bathroom the tub/shower has visible discoloration in the grout areas. Service from staff was exceptional"

"Our group of 5 adults and 2 kids had everything we needed. The bedroom spaces were great and inrestroom layout convenient.The approach to the lake was awesome and flat The kids enjoyed building sand castles on the little beach and swimming was nice and shallow out past the end of the dockIt was only 50 minutes drive time from my home in St Paul. I would recommend this property "

"Jaycee (owner) met us there when we arrived. Walked us through and around the property. We also rented the pontoon boat and used it several times during our stay. When I messaged him, he was very responsive and knows his property well. The interior amenities are great and the unit was very livable. Our family had a great time and enjoyed our stay. Would not hesitate to rent it again if we visited the area."

"Had such a great family vacation that we rebooked for next year. Kitchen was well stocked with essentials. Bedroom bed were very comfortable. Didn’t really use the game room as the weather was so nice we wanted to be outside, but would be nice on a rainy day. The guys caught lots and lots of fish. They really loved being able to dock the boat onsite. We enjoyed the kayaks and lily pad. Would have been nicer if the beach area was a little more clean of algae, ect. But we made it work and still enjoyed playing in the water. We also enjoyed watching the eagles. We had a family (mom, dad and juvenile) that liked the to roost in the tree by the house daily. Fun watching them getting their fishy meals, listening to them talk to each other. Such fascinating birds."

"Sanctuary at Rum River was perfect for our large family get-together. All of the house was clean. Beds were very comfortable (even the bunk beds) bathrooms were well appointed. Kitchen was GREAT...nice to have everything labeled on the cabinets, and have plenty of dishware, glasses, coffee cups, and silverware. Good assortment of cooking utensils, pots, pans, etc. Awesome to have the washer and dryer available. Theatre room in the basement was a great bonus. As well as having the garage outfitted with ping pong, foosball, etc. Plenty of space for everyone...really appreciated the large dining area with the 3 tables and enough chairs for all to eat together. Layout of the house also provided some space for the group to separate, so all had a bit of privacy in addition to the common areas of the home. Didn't have much time to take advantage of the river access, but some did get to kayak and spend some time on the river. Very convenient to the stores and shopping in town. Host was very responsive and helpful, without getting in the way. Made for a very enjoyable weekend. Would book it again for future family events."
