2nd Return visit staying here! Loved it so much the first time had to come back, loved the home and location- just a short walk across the street to Lake Superior, beautiful beach and sunsets!!!Enjoyed the fire pit - well stocked with firewood - perfect place to unwind and soak in nature all around - cute lil downtown within walking distance to restaurants!

It was lacking toilet paper and when I called the manager they said they would bring some and never did. The property description doesn’t say that it’s across from a campground. It says that it is directly across from the lake.

What a July 4th!

We had a wonderful stay at The Chalet and highly recommend it. It is walkable to beach, town, not to mention abuts the Pictured Rocks Nat’l Lakeshore. Happened to be in town for 7/4 and the town throws a great, day-long celebration. The house itself is comfortable, well-appointed and spacious inside with two decks outside for lounging. The kitchen is excellent and we made many good meals while there.

The UP is amazing

Le Chalet was beautiful. Very clean. One of the most well stocked homes we have rented. The owners have thought of everything. The home was extremely clean and stocked with necessary supplies, from toilet paper, dish soap laundry soap etc. plus they give you access to all small appliances and they had an amazing coffee and tea bar available. It was a gourmet kitchen for those that like to cook in. The front porch overlooked the campground which was fun to watch. The night sky and sunsets were amazing. You could walk to the beach or into town. We loved the location. It was an easy drive to all the attractions in pictured rocks national shoreline. Plus convenient to tahquamenon state park, Oswald’s bear ranch and the shipwreck museum. The WiFi was a little slow but that was everywhere in the UP. The house does get warm and doesn’t have AC but just open the windows and use the ceiling fans. It was perfect. We would definitely stay at Le Chalet again. Definitely a10.

very clean, organized, fully stocked!

This home was exactly as listed. Very clean, fully stocked, great location and comfortable. We had one small issue with heat, and the host responded within MINUTES. They had our heat up and running in no time at all. THANK YOU! We would consider this rental again in the future.

Lovely fall weekend

The house was well stocked although we didn't cook anything while there. All downtown restaurants, bars, shops were within walking distance which was great. Beach right across the road. Really wonderful location. Only bummer was that fireplace was not operational, but we weren't really there enough to use it. Had a fun time playing records on the player in the living room.

Le chalet in Grand Marais

House was very clean with all the amenities you would need. Bathrooms and showers were very nice. Lots of board games to choose from located in one of the upstairs bedroom cabinets and many videos in the cabinet below the tv. A 10 to 15 minute walk to town. Combo tennis pickle ball court on the way to town. Overall very satisfied with stay.

Trail Riding

Host was great to work with! VRBO was clean & well stocked with towels, dishes. VRBO had easy access to trails for SXS riding. Woulrecommend this VRBo.

Great stay in Grand Marais!

Had a wonderful stay (Sept. 3-6). Fantastic time out hunting Yooperlites…very successful. Very nice home, all amenities were awesome. One slight inconvenience was that both bathrooms are on the main floor. Was fine for our party, as the adult kids were upstairs. Great location! Look forward to the next trip!

Lovely Vacation Home

Lovely vacation home. Close to town, pictured rocks and the beach. Nicely decorated and has everything you could want. Comfortable beds and just perfect all around. Will definitely book here again. Enjoyed our time in this amazing place.

Peaceful Vacation

Our family really enjoyed our stay here. The location was perfect for our family getaway. This home was very clean. The host always responded to questions quickly. The beaches were beautiful. Just an hour drive to Pictured Rock Cruises. Sable Falls was very close. We would definitely recommend and would stay here again if we were to come back to the area.

Hidden Gem in the UP!

Having never been to Lake Superior I wasn’t sure what I was truly looking for but THIS WAS IT! We wanted a comfortable place for our rock-hunting loving family of 3 that was as close as possible to the Lake with a good beach. Le Chalet exceeded our expectations in every way! We were out the front door and in the sand in less than 3 minutes. The beach was beautiful, full of rocks, and surprisingly not crowded at all! Plus the charming, quaint little town of Grand Marais is just a short, easy walk down the road. The house was amazing! Clean and nicely updated and decorated. We had everything we needed. We flew to the UP and The only thing We had to buy was a raft, a beach chair for my husband, and food/beverages. We had an amazing vacation and explored much of the Eastern UP while staying at Le Chalet! Thanks for such a great house!

UP paradise

Loved Grand Marais!

We loved our trip to the area. You can literally walk into Pictured Rocks from the house. It was /july 4th weekend so the camp site was completely full - and loud (fireworks all 5 nights) - but we didn't mind. Just an FYI. Great people watching! The coffee shop just down the road is dreamy. And the ice cream shop too. Just an idyllic little town. Lots of stairs down to the water which was fine for us. Sunsets were spectacular! The house was great. Both bathrooms are downstairs and 2 of the bedrooms are upstairs so if you have a big group that might be an inconvenience - it was fine for us. The kitchen was perfect. The front porch was lovely. Really a wonderful place for my husband and I to get away. No cell access outside of the wifi which again we loved - a real break from the world. Lovely all the way around. The hiking and kayaking in pictured rocks is spectacular. Absolutely worth the trip.
