Our family loved staying at this lodge! We had a great experience and the staff at the canoe outfitters were very friendly and helpful. We hope to come back.

Nice accommodations in a very picturesque setting. Very nice deck overlooking the lake and use of the fire pit was an enjoyable way to end the day.
This was a great stay with easy access to the lake. Very much enjoyed paddling around here. Hosts were great. Bedroom was small, but we weren't there to stay inside. Bed itself was super comfortable. Everything was very clean and well maintained.
Had to use the kitchen when there wasn't anyone else in there. Hard to share when it's being monopolized by others. Would like to see a better fish cleaning station. Right next to boat landing was handy. Has a dock. Overall a very nice experience. Shawn and Bekah were very helpful. Thank you.
New is right, still finishing construction of some amenities and facilities
But as advertised, it is right at the end of the Gunflint, at the gateway to wilderness. Clean, new, if spartan, sleeping rooms. A shared common kitchen area with all needed meal prep equipment, and a decent size fridge in each room fits the need very well. Some sort of table in the room, and a box of tissues would be nice.
The pictures are very misleading. The kitchen is communal sharing with 5 groups during a pandemic. No one onsite to observe the 6 people that came into the kitchen stating they had NO masks( college age kids). Outlets not working in the communal sharing area and extension cords provided. Remote not working for the TV . Called the number listed. Simon very prompt however had no answers for the remote, batteries good. Left for the night. Heat turned off on baseboards in room. Temp in the 30s at night(Oct 1, 2020)Rooms very small. No table. Pictures show more bunks in the room than we had. Poor insulation. Can hear neighbors including their cellphones dropping from top bunk during night. NO refund stated right off the bat which is a clear red sign
Great place to stay at the top of the Gunflint trail on Sag!
We had a great time staying at this place. It has a number of individual rooms with separate entrances and bathrooms, and then a common deck and kitchen/living room area. We had the whole place to ourselves when we stayed, which was really nice. The deck is a great hang-out place with a super nice grill to use too. We were able to dock out boat right there at the place too, which was great. Hopefully we will be back again soon.
