  • Sunset from Grand Isle State Park, near the southern tip of Louisiana. We didn't know you could drive 1.5 hours south of New Orleans, but you can to reach this beautiful state park. Grand Isle is mostly a summer community but it was sunny and warm and nearly empty for us in early March. The RV park was a great place to stay -- one of our favorites, right next to the beach and with nature paths nearby. We walked on the beach by day, and grilled burgers and sat by the campfire at night. We had a fabulous time

The property was clean, and the company was incredibly kind, responsible, and easy to reach. Good communication is extremely important when it comes to travel rentals, and they excelled in this. My friend accidentally left her keys behind, and when we contacted the company, they quickly found them and sent it to us within a week. When we noticed that four of the living room lights were out, they responded promptly and had someone come to fix them within two hours. We also loved that the property had so many bedrooms and bathrooms, making it perfect for families traveling together, as each family had their own space. Highly recommend this place!

Best view of the beach

This expansive property was perfect for our stay. Came for a wedding weekend and hosted extended family. Plenty of bedrooms with private bathrooms. Kitchen with that long island was so easy to cook and serve. Little porch on the beach was private and had amazing views up and down the beach. We just sat inside and with the wall to wall windows could see down the dunes. The lift was efficient and so useful for loading supplies in and out. Parked our rental golf cart easily under the camp on the concrete. We ate crabs from Carmadelles on the deck at one of the two picknick tables. Just perfect. Highly recommended!
