"The proximity to the beach is excellent and using two e-bikes for up to two hours free allowed us to scoot down to the beach bike path and back up easily. The pool is lovely but was busy on the Labour Day long weekend. The rooms are well appointed and the staff very attentive. The fridge was not very cold but ok for waters. I’d stay here again."

"This is the second time we've stayed at the Garland, and this time we stayed longer since it was so convenient with the trolley to Universal and all the amenities. This year, unfortunately, there were tons of mosquitos in LA, and we ended up getting bitten multiple times both around the property and inside our hotel room. However, the hotel was really helpful and sprayed something in our room that seemed to help. This hotel isn't close to much within a 5-minute walk, but if you're willing to walk 15–30 minutes, there are tons of great brunch places around. Otherwise, the hotel is extremely clean, and we will definitely return in the future."
