"Last minute booking for Easter weekend. Turned out to be a great little hotel with some grounds with a stream and a lake for the dog/ kids to explore. Some gray pubs nearby for dinner (Ye Olde George). The owners are very friendly and showed us the historic cellars. Great for a break, room was smallish but had everything needed."

"The property was pretty central, walking distance to eateries and shops, good parking. Stuart was very welcoming and helpful, breakfast was your choice, plentiful, freshly cooked and my room was spotless, cosy bed and hot shower. I liked it a lot."

"A cosy sea front hotel above a pub. Room 404 had superb bay window for admiring the view of the beach and sea across to The Spinaker Tower. The room is bright ,warm plenty of lights, mirrors and storage. A few things are a bit tired, curtains don't close properly, chest of drawers damaged and sink worn but comfortable bed and efficient shower over bath .Friendly staff and guest entrance when staff not on duty. Good value ."

"This House was ideal for my Wife's 70th birthday last weekend, all eighteen of our family agreed and it was a great success with everyone, however, The owner does need to improve the general condition of the decoration and some fittings, they have spent a fortune on a lovely new kitchen recently so they are seriously investing in the house, it would take a very small, by comparison, investment to put Bury Villa in TOP decorative order, which it needs in places, before the negative reviews start...

"Really enjoyed this place, nice to have your own kitchenette, friendly staff and lovely spacious rooms ! Only downside, not much of a sound barrier, 6am baby crying and its parents talking extremely loudly to it, not an issue since already awake but something to keep in mind. "
